Career Opportunities
I've been working with Asterisk for a little while now, and have been looking recently at my next career opportunity. It seems from searching the various job sites that the predominant VOIP technology is not the applications-based open source approach we took, but Cisco, with a really heavy emphasis on the networking (ie network engineer) aspect. If you do a job search for (VOIP or

Current pxelinux always unloads undi driver
Pedro,
Thanks for the feedback.
HPA and all,
Since we have confirmation that this patch fixes keeppxe (for the
memdisk use case) for at least one other person, could we get it into
the next syslinux release?

SUCCESS: OpenSSH_6.7p1-snap20150220
Compiled OK, and operating nicely on CentOS 6.6, both 32/64 bit.
Really appreciate the UpdateHostkeys feature!
One issue I noticed, the screen output gets garbled if the user has been "asked" to "Accept" the new hostkeys.
Looks like the screen output is missing the CR's, and only LF's get presented.

Career
Hello,
I am a student of electrical engineering at Indian Institute of
Technology, but I am inclined more towards quantitative finance. I don't
like reading course books and find myself always learning financial maths
and other finance related stuff.
I don't know if this is the write place to ask this question but anyway, I
was wondering, if I have the necessary skills required for quants

Rails and Theme Centric Design
I''ve been developing a system in PHP5 that began as a loose MVC
architecture. At some point though, we decided to introduce themes, and
we didn''t want people confined to having to have specific ''pages'' in
their theme for the site to operate. Rather we wanted a series of basic
API calls that users could access in their themes and get data. These
api calls

Making a backend-centric application
Is Rails usable for a backend/server-centric application? The
application is supposed to just sit there and grab data from various
sources at certain times, process them, stuff them in a database.
These data will then be presented in different ways, via a web-
frontend, webservices (rest), json and such.
Would Rails be a usable way to do this, or should I go a different
route? If so, what route

Controllers - model vs. use case centric
I am working on a reasonably large application (which happens to be my
first with rails).
I was hoping to get some input on organisation of controllers and
actions.
I am finding having used scaffolding more at the beginning my
controllers tend to be very model centric, in that they mostly contain
all the actions for management of that particular model, which may crash
across multiple use

[OT] Rails hosting question -- video centric
This is OT in the sense that it''s yet another hosting question and not
strictly a problem I''m having with Rails. Basically, I trust and
appreciate the knowledge of the folks on this list so I''m hoping for
some insight.
I have a new project that I''ll be starting up soon. It''s basically
going to feed videos. The webapp piece is trivial. I''m

bit length overflow?
I'm getting messages that look like this:
bit length overflow
code 6 bits 6->7
in rsync-2.5.1pre3 (and in 2.4.7pre4)
Is that an error, or a piece of verbose logging? the return code was zero,
which makes me think that everything's okay.

Xen bridge + iptables FORWARD
Hi all,
I have Xen 3.2 newly installed on Lenny with network bridging configured.
When I built my first VM, I found it couldn''t connect to the Internet. This
turned out to be because my dom0''s iptables was configured to DROP all
packets on the FORWARD chain (when I removed that, it started working).
The "Xen Networking" page on the wiki describes this exact situation

The git version of syslinux won't solve your problem. It doesn't have
the keeppxe patch at this time. I can't help you to get pxelinux to load
ldlinux.c32. I didn't write syslinux. I've Cc'd the mailing list. Maybe
someone there can help you.
