[LLVMdev] Question about function arguments
Hi Hemanth,

are you sure you aren't confusing values and names? In something like
this
int foo(int a, int b)
there are names "a" and "b". To make it easier for humans to read LLVM
IR, most front-ends will use the same names for the function

[LLVMdev] Question about function arguments
Hi Duncan,
Thanks for the clarification. My doubt is to know how I can extract the
values contained in the arguments from LLVM IR.
Thanks,
Hemanth

[LLVMdev] How to duplicate a function?
Hi all,
Sorry for the inconvenient about the previous post. The files were not
attached. So I put them here again.
I am a newbie in LLVM and I am trying to replace the function like:

Hey Jakub,
Thanks for working on this again, one more round :)

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] PR2218
Hello,
I fixed my patch as you asked. Sorry for the delay, I'd been working
on my SSU patch (http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2009-August/025347.html
)
I hope that everything is fine now.

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] PR2218
Hello,
Sorry for my stupid mistakes. I hope that everything is fine now. This
patch fixes PR2218. There are no loads in example, however
"instcombine" changes memcpy() into store/load.

Jakub Staszak

Very nice. Are you sure this fixes PR2218? The example there doesn't
have any loads in it.

Yes, you're right. My long term goal is to merge the relevant

Hi Jakub,
Sorry for the delay, I'm way behind on code review. Generally if you
respond quickly, I'll remember

-msave-args backend support for x86_64
ola,
ive been looking at adding support for an -msave-args option for
use on x86_64. the short explanation of it is that it makes x86_64
function prologues store their register arguments on the stack. the
purpose of this is to make the arguments trivially accessible for
things like stack traces with arguments.

[LLVMdev] # operands < # args
In n transform I'm writing, when I call arg_size() on a variable
argument function similar to printf, it returns 1. However when I call
getNumOperands() it returns 0. Isn't an argument a type of operand? If
so, shouldn't the number of operands be at least as big as the number of
arguments?

[LLVMdev] Kaleidoscope toy4 failure seg fault on llvm::ExecutionEngine::getTargetData (this=0x0)
First, you have to call llvm-g++ to use the llvm-gcc front end, but it
doesn't matter here.
I'd like to suggest that you use pastebin to put your code and the send us
the link, so that we can download it. The problem is that TheExecutionEngine
is set to NULL (maybe because of a previous error), but it will be really
better if you use pastebin.

[LLVMdev] Kaleidoscope toy4 failure seg fault on llvm::ExecutionEngine::getTargetData (this=0x0)
I am new to llvm so I might be missing a critical step. My system is
Fedora 12 but this also happens in Mac OS X 10.6.2. Here are the
steps I used to compile llvm:
export TARGETS=x86,x86_64,cpp
export INSTALLDIR=/home/rovitotv/llvm
../llvm-2.6/configure --prefix=$INSTALLDIR --enable-bindings=none
--enable-targets=$TARGETS --enable-optimized
--with-llvmgccdir=$INSTALLDIR

Windows XP Profile-Samba 3
Hi,
We are setting up a samba PDC with rhcl 5.I made some restrictions in XP

properties, registry and etc. ,then i copied the DEFAULT USER folder frm
that XP box to netlogon share of samba server.(thought it would act as
baseprofile for all users and this profile policy will be copied to all new
users).But what ever the

[LLVMdev] Duplicate Function with duplicated Arguments
I'm now writing a pass and I wanna ask a question about how to
duplicate the function and add duplicated arguments in llvm, for
example:
func(int a, char *b) -> func(int a, char *b, int a1, char *b1)
I'm now stuck at using "getOrInsertFunction" and how to handle
"getArgumentList", please share your opinion, thanks a lot!

[LLVMdev] Building llvm-2.6 on Eclipse CDT
Hello Gang,
I am trying to build llvm-2.6 src on Eclipse CDT (Helios) and I was getting
some errors in the unittest folder. Anybody here knows how to build the llvm
source on Eclipse CDT? Please let me know soon.
p.s: I am a newbie to LLVM. I was able to build it on the terminal (on
Ubuntu), but I need to use it on Eclipse (like Java projects).

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] PR2218
Hello,
This patch fixes PR2218. However, I'm not pretty sure that this
optimization should be in MemCpyOpt. I think that GVN is good place as
well.
