Hi, I think I got a problem with the FXListBox widget. ( ruby 1.8.4 (2005-12-24) [i386-mswin32]) ) FXListBox.new(parent, nil, 0) do |libo4| libo4.appendItem("0 very weird") libo4.appendItem("1 very weird") libo4.appendItem("2 very weird") libo4.appendItem("3 very weird") libo4.appendItem("4 very

FXlistBox.fillItems() segmentation fault - Found Work-around
As my prior posts show, I was getting very random segmentation faults when repeatedly clearing items from a listbox and then repopulating the items. I was using the following statements: mylistbox.clearItems() mylistbox.fillItems(new_list) This would work for awhile, but after enough iterations of clearing and replacing the items in the listbox it would segmentation faults at the .fillItems

FXTable segfaults after multiple setTableSize calls
When I empty and refill an FXTable multiple times with a large data set (10,000 rows x 1 column in the example below, around 1000 rows x 6 columns in a more complicated app), the application eventually fails with a segmentation fault. The number of repetitions required to produce the segfault is rather random, ranging from just a couple reps to 15 or 20 in some trials. The program disappears

Making a FXListBox open up
How would I programatically make a FXListBox pop open? I have searched through the Fox mailing list archive, but did not find anything. Thanks. Fixed column widths in FXTable?
Is there a way to make an FXTable''s column widths (and row heights) unchangeable by the user? By experimentation it looks to me like leaving out TABLE_COL_SIZABLE and TABLE_ROW_SIZABLE from the options field in FXTable.new() has no effect. I can still drag the intersection between two column heading buttons to change the column width. The code I''m using to test this is

mdiclient windows do not always activate on click
I just noticed that MDIClient windows do not automatically become current when they receive a mouse click, but only do so if the click happens inside of an enabled widget. This may very well be correct, but if so then what is the right way to handle it, if you want a more familiar window-manager behavior (click to focus)? For example, if you change the mditest.rb example like so... ---

Combobox
Hi, I''ve got a little problem with the comboboxes. I want to provide a search where the user enters a word into the combobox and the program runs a mysqlsearch and returns the result in the comboboxlist. While the user enters a searchword or moves up or down within the list, it is necessary that the list opens itself without a manual click on the button. That''s

Tcltk changes in R 1.8.0
I have committed a set of changes to the tcltk package for R-1.8.0. The most important changes are 1) Support for Tcl arrays, which should come in handy for people playing with things like the tkTable extension. Basically these work like tclVar objects but can be subscripted (notice that these beasts are associative - like a Perl hash - rather than objects of set dimensions). Basic

SWIGging ConfigBase
Hi all I''m trying to write an .i file for ConfigBase. If I can figure out a few general SWIG things then I think most of it will work. Apols for the noob swig questions. The C++ class has lots of overloaded methods called Read, which return different kinds of values. In wxruby-not-swig these are implemented as read, read_bool, read_int and so on. read() means read_string(). In ruby

Microstation files read only
I've installed Bentleys Microstation V8, all seems to be working but I can only open files as read only, (even files that I've just created). Error message states "File is currently in use by: Username: Computer: Open as read only YES CANCEL" Is this a matter of changing some setting for the file attributes, if so, where? Davidp

precision problems in testing with Intel compilers
I compiled the 1.9.1 src.rpm with the standard gnu tools and it works. I tried compiling the 1.9.1 src.rpm with the Intel 8 C and FORTRAN compilers and it bombs out during the testing phase: comparing 'd-p-q-r-tests.Rout' to './d-p-q-r-tests.Rout.save' ...267c267 < df = 0.5[1] "Mean relative difference: 5.001647e-10" --- > df = 0.5[1] TRUE

QtRuby
Hello, Has anyone tested QtRuby? I''m doing a small OpenGL application http://www.discretizer.org and just want to know the arguments for staying with fxruby. This is what I have discovered: Pros: -Fxruby seems to have a very nice OpenGL support (FXGLViewer) which is what I really need. -Nice looks. No unnecessary theming support. -Very fast and light on system resources. Cons: -No
