Network menu doesn't appear on system menu on CentOS 6.6
Hello everyone, I am not seeing the "Network" menu option (to configure the network) on one of my CentOS 6.6 machines, even on user root, in Gnome. It's not anywhere else, either. Can anyone point me in the direction of having that added? Thanks! Gilbert ******************************************************************************* Gilbert Sebenste

The firmware on the printer was from January 20, 2011. I went to HP's website and noticed a massive firmware update from December of 2014. I downloaded the .zip file, unzipped it to get the .rfu

patch for oggz-comment
Hi, It seems the oggz-comment on your computer has more features than the one you sent in August :-) Any chance you could send a more recent copy? In any case, I've updated the --help output for the -s option, and also added a manual page with the same info, in doc/oggz-comment.1.sgml (in svn.annodex.net changeset:3280). cheers, Conrad. [PATCH 1/4] net: skb_orphan on dev_hard_start_xmit
Various drivers do skb_orphan() because they do not free transmitted skbs in a timely manner (causing apps which hit their socket limits to stall, socket close to hang, etc.). DaveM points out that there are advantages to doing it generally (it's more likely to be on same CPU than after xmit), and I couldn't find any new starvation issues in simple benchmarking here. This patch adds

X windows won't start after update to autofs
Hello everyone, Maybe this doesn't make sense, but after I updated autofs yesterday and rebooted this morning, X windows won't go. It tries with the old configuration---doesn't work. It tries a fresh config and fails. I can't copy and paste, but it says screens found, but no usable configuration. Couldn't start X server on card 0 Couldn't start X server with old

[Bridge] [PATCH v2] net: add ETH_P_802_3_MIN
Add a new constant ETH_P_802_3_MIN, the minimum ethernet type for an 802.3 frame. Frames with a lower value in the ethernet type field are Ethernet II. Also update all the users of this value that David Miller and I could find to use the new constant. Also correct a bug in util.c. The comparison with ETH_P_802_3_MIN should be >= not >. As suggested by Jesse Gross. Compile tested only.

[LLVMdev] Why a function pointer field in a LLVM IR struct is replaced by {}*?
Dear LLVM developers, My name is Ben Niu and I am a Ph.D. student at Lehigh University. I compiled the MUSL C library using Clang 3.3, and dumped the generated LLVM IR files. I found that the MUSL-defined FILE struct (aliasing __FILE_s) struct __FILE_s { unsigned flags; unsigned char *rpos, *rend; int (*close)(FILE *); unsigned char *wend, *wpos; unsigned char *mustbezero_1;

Typing "startx" gives me a black scrren, have to reboot to get back to runlevel 3
Hello everyone, I have been having a vexing problem for a year, and I cannot solve it. Hopefully, someone has a tip to get me over the hump to fix this once and for all. When I type "startx" from root, I get: (EE) fglrx(0): atiddxDriScreenInit failed, GPS not been initialized.
