[LLVMdev] LLVM on Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11
Looks like I was a little too ambitious in getting version LLVM-2.5 to
build on Mac OS X Tiger which uses gcc 4.0.1. LLVM -2.2 built fine.
I did get the LLVM-2.5 tree to build but it was the gcc front-end part
of it that failed. If anyone has built the both parts of version 2.5
on Tiger please let me know.
Thanks,
Bijoy.

Error when running configure on xeon with r-1-9-patched
Dear list,
I'm having a problem configuring R-1-9-patched on a Intel Xeon machine
running Fedora Core 2. I used svn to checkout the source, altered
config.site to add some optimisation flags to match the Fedora rpm on
CRAN (the flags work fine on two other P3 or P4 machines I've compiled R
on).
./configure fails with:

OS X 10.4.11 Tiger cannot write to Samba 4.5.12 file server with vfs_fruit enabled
Hello, thought I’d post here before opening up an issue on Bugzilla, just
in case…
I’m setting up a combination Samba 4.5.12/Netatalk 3.1.11 file server on
Debian Stretch (kernel version 4.9.0-4-amd64), servicing a network
containing Windows, macOS, and OS X Tiger 10.4.11 systems. As I understand
it, vfs_fruit is necessary for proper interoperation with Netatalk 3, so I
have that enabled on my

rsync compilation
Hi all
Here is the egrep result :
egrep "SIZEOF|LONGLONG" build_mipsel/rsync-2.6.3/config.h
/* #undef HAVE_LONGLONG */
#define SIZEOF_INT 4
#define SIZEOF_LONG 4
#define SIZEOF_SHORT 2
and the HAVE_LONGLONG config.log result :
rsync_cv_HAVE_LONGLONG=cross
Is there a problem with this values ?
Thanks a lot for your answer

Tiger compatibility
Hi,
Before I go any further about OSX creation dates etc. I just
discovered that the pre5 release doesn't work on OSX Tiger. I got this
message in the rsync progress:
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libiconv.2.dylib
Reason: Incompatible library version: rsync requires version 7.0.0
or later, but libiconv.2.dylib provides version 5.0.0
Is there any way around this? I really need

How to Cross compile Samba Source
Hi,
I am using samba-2.2.8a.tar.gz source and complied for regular linux.
Now I am trying to cross compile it, but do not have any guidelines on how
to do it?
Anyone can help me on, making cross compilation work for arm-linux host.
Any help is appreciated.

Rsync cross-compilation problem
Hi all !
I really appreciate rsync, so that I would like to make a package for the mips
architecture, but I encounter a problem when trying to cross compile it :
the configure script has been called using the following options :
--with-gnu-ld \
--disable-largefiles \
--with-included-popt \
--with-rsh=ssh \
And when using the cross compiler, I get the following message :

Apache 1.3 OSX Tiger(intel) mod_fastcgi
Hi,
I''m new to RoR and am trying to get it up and running on my iMac Tiger
(intel).
I was able to get it working with the built in server and am now trying to
get it working with apache 1.3
I''m stuck on getting a universal binary for mod_fastcgi.so. or source code
to compile it myself.
Has anyone been able to get RoR to run successfully with this configuration?

patch: typo's and gcc warnings
Two patches:
one to correct the spelling of permissions (in comments, but such typos
disturb me as well), and
one to cast inode and dev to unsigned long before comparing, to prevent
gcc giving a warning "comparison between signed and unsigned".

Samba, OS X Tiger 10.4 plain text password, username null-padded?
Our samba server is running Solaris 9 and Samba 3.0.2.a . For reasons
*outside the scope of this question* we are using plaintext passwords
and authenticating via our NFS server. (I know this isn't a great
idea, but that's not the question)
With Panther, plaintext passwords worked fine. Snooping, I see the
plain text password and username go through.
With Tiger, we first had to apply

R on Macintosh OSX Tiger
Hi. I'm not having any luck installing the binary for the new
Macintosh OS called "Tiger".
I get error messages as below.
Can anyone offer me some advice? (PS: I checked the bug list first
but a search on "Tiger" turned up nothing so I hope it's OK to post
here.)

How to run Rcmdr in Mac Os X Tiger?
This question might been asked previously (I googled), but I can't find a
workable solution in the archives.
My question is: how to run Rcdmr in Mac Os X?

[LLVMdev] Adding ClamAV to the llvm testsuite (long)
Hi,
I see that you are looking for new programs for the testsuite, as
described in 'Compile programs with the LLVM compiler', and 'Adding
programs to the llvm testsuite" on llvm.org/OpenProjects.
My favourite "C source code" is ClamAV (www.clamav.net), and I would
like to get it included in the testsuite.
This mail is kind of long, but please bear with me, as I want

Tiger team.
Hi,
I''m back. :-)
Alex and a few others have expressed concerns about the legal
implications of forming a tiger team. Maybe the term "tiger team"
doesn''t officially represent what we meant. But I don''t mind
redefining established terms if I feel like it :-)
What we here call a "tiger team" is a team of people that try to beat
the bad guys to
