[LLVMdev] a possible alternative for pre-legalize extended ValueTypes
After doing a bunch of work for moving pre-legalize extended ValueTypes into a table in SelectionDAG, I may have just found a simpler approach. There are under 32 simple ValueType values, so we only really need 5 bits to represent those. ValueType is already a 32-bit type on most hosts; what if we make use of the remaining 27 bits instead of using an external table? If we can assume that vector

Hi Sanjay, For sincos calls, I’m currently just going through isTriviallyVectorizable(), which was good enough to get things working so that I could test the translation. I don’t see why this cannot be changed to use addVectorizableFunctionsFromVecLib(). The other functions that I’m working with are already vectorized using the loop pragma. I'm having a problem generating the ISel from tablegen that appears only when a vector register class is declared to contain integer vectors. Hi Chris, Gordon, Here's a patch to allow a GCStrategy to customize the places where it wants to insert safe points. I'm not sure who maintains the GC code today in LLVM (I'd be happy to take ownership, if needed). [LLVMdev] Use of movupd instead of movapd for x86
Understood for the aligned case, I want to measure performance degradation for unaligned case. I mean unaligned case versus aligned. I know this is stupid, but I want to try to pass a <4 x float>* as parameter of a routine and at the call site I want to pass a misaligned pointer.
