[LLVMdev] RFC: 2008 LLVM Conference
Hi all, It's the new year! So the question on everybody's mind is, of course, "Will there be another LLVM conference?". I'm sending this out to gauge interest levels. People seemed to like the conference last year, and I personally enjoyed meeting the LLVM community. If people are interested in having one this year, then we can start the process. So, what say ye? > -bw

I don't know anything about svn performance. Would this negatively impact llvm.org, which is already pretty strained?

[LLVMdev] Slight troubles following "Getting Started" instructions
OK, counter-examples. I am channeling Joe, an average C/C++/C#/Java developer who's heard about LLVM and is curious to know what it is. Joe thinks.... I surf to http://llvm.org/docs/GettingStarted.html#quickstart because I am interested in this LLVM stuff. 1, 2, 3. What documentation? What am I supposed to read? Aaah! This is scary! 4. Install either 4.0 or 4.2. Which one do I want? Which

PLoS, Arial, R & linux
Greetings All. According to the PLoS (Public Library of Science) Guidelines for Figure preparation, if a figure is submitted as EPS rather than TIFF then "Figure text must be in Arial font" -- see: [1] http://www.plosntds.org/static/figureGuidelines.action#text and also other sections in that web-page [2] http://www.plosntds.org/static/figureGuidelines.action Now, Arial font is not

R-(wiki)-pedia?
Is there an R wiki? Looking at the huge amount of traffic on this list, I think wiki could be an exelet outlet for all the constructive enthusiasm here. I don't think it would be too hard to port the existing R documentation (the stuff you get with the ?) onto a wiki system, then users could add their own examples and comments. Having distinct web page style organization would be easier to

hardware ogg vorbis decoder
As it seems that the vorbis decoder is now stable with respect to format/features, would it be time to start thinking about a hardware implementation? I would be interested in pursuing this if some there is consensus on requirements. If there is some enthusiasm for it then a module could be set up on the opencores site for a gate-array decoder. cya, Andrew... --- >8 ---- List

G729 on Solaris SPARC/x86/x64 Codec
Hi All, Does anyone know what the current status is of the G729 codec on Solaris? According to the following link: http://www.asteriskvoipnews.com/asterisk_releases/_digium_g729_codec_now_available_forsolarissparc.html there is a version available for SPARC processor's. However, I have just had a quick look around Digium's FTP server and cannot seem to find these codecs (supported or
