metric_fu for use in cc.rb
Hi all, I looked on the mailing list for metric_fu, but didn''t find it -- so at the risk of being redundant, it looks really useful. "Metric_fu is a set of rake tasks that make it easy to generate metrics reports. It uses Saikuro <http://saikuro.rubyforge.org/>, Flog<http://ruby.sadi.st/Flog.html>, Rcov <http://eigenclass.org/hiki.rb?rcov>,

(let?s say every 24 hours). how do i have to configure cruisecontrol.rb? both rake tasks work. however, when i configure cruisecontrol.rb as described on the metric_fu website, i.e. add ''project.rake_task = ?metrics:all? project.scheduler.polling_interval =

UI Integration with RSpec?
Hi all, Is there any integration with testing tools such as RSpec or Test::Unit planned? I see that the cruise task is run correctly, but the tests show up underneath the build log. Ideally I''d like them to show up the same way that they do in ''java'' CruiseControl, in their own section of tests. Will.

Custom builds artifacts not visible (WIN 32)
Hello again, Cruisecontrolrb works well now on my XP box but for the following problem: I have set up rails_rcov so that I can generate code coverage automatically at every build. Following the manual, I have a custom task that copies rcov output to a specific folder (d:\work\ccrob\artifacts) I have set up the environment CC_BUILD_ARTIFACTS to /work/ccrob/artifacts using the tip given in another

Git support - kinda works, have design questions
As of now, I can create a project from Git repository, run a builder on it, and even run the dashboard. Build pages look ugly because build.label in git is very long, a bunch of unit tests is failing, and I had to disable some functionality, namely displaying source control errors in the dashboard. CCTray access of remote CC.rb server
Hi: So I modified the instructions in the manual which say to enter http://:3333 using th CruiseControl.NET Dashboard to http://hostname:3333 which doesn''t work. CCTray reports an error. On the mongrel side I can see CC.rb can''t route /XmlServerReport.aspx. I see in the controller there is a cctray format to respond. I''m using ruby 1.8.5, rails 1.2.3 and the

2 Minor issues with 1.3.0 on windows
Hi all, Lest I forget: Windows XP Pro SP2 C:\CruiseControl\cruisecontrolrb-1.3.0>ruby --version ruby 1.8.6 (2007-09-24 patchlevel 111) [i386-mswin32] We found two minor problems with CC.rb when trying to run on windows. The first effects the Dashboard saying there is no project. In boot.rb we had to add a .gsub(''\\'',''/'') in #find_home when

Cruisecontroi footprint for a virtual machine installation
Does anyone have any feel for the requirements (disk space, memory, anything else you can think of) of a virtual machine (say Centos Linux), set up as a CruiseControl.rb build machine? cruisecontrol.rb setup problems
Hi all, We are trying to set up cruisecontrol.rb on a windows machine. We have ruby, rails, cruisecontrol.rb (win32 versions). We have added the project, run throught the tests. The tests run 100% successfully. After the tests run, it apparently uses unit test collector to collect through some tests which have require on "cc:build" which it can''t find anymore and spits

Failing rspec story not causing a CruiseControl.rb build to fail?
We''ve just added rspec stories to our CruiseControl.rb build. When there''s a failing scenario we see the failure in the log output, but it doesn''t cause the CruiseControl build to fail. We''ve also just upgraded to the latest rspec version, 1.1.4, which fixes rspec bug 228, but the CC.rb build is still passing. Has anyone got failing rspec stories making

Cruisecontrol.rb & JRuby ?
Hi, I searched the archives of this list and came across a few posts that indicated that Cruisecontrol.rb may support JRuby: http://www.openlogic.com/blogs/2007/09/setting-up-a-jruby-project-in-cruisecontrolrb/ http://www.nabble.com/cc.rb-under-JRuby-to12101231.html#a12101231 Anybody using it that way? Any advice, gotchas etc.? Apologies if I am missing other resources. Thanks, Mike --

Is Rcov working with Jruby now?
Hello everyone: I am currently assigned to test a big project which uses JRuby to build a web application. The reason of using JRuby is the web application is communicating with Java Service. I am writing test cases using Rspec and looking for a code coverage tool. Rcov is no doubt a nice code coverage tool. However, it is said that Rcov is not compatible with JRuby so far. Sigh....I can not

I am trying to get a customized rcov rake task working. What I have so far looks like this: desc "Rcov code coverage reports" require ''rcov/rcovtask'' require ''spec/rake/spectask'' require ''cucumber/rake/task'' task :rcov => "rcov:all" namespace :rcov do Rcov::RcovTask.new(:all) do task :rcov =>

strange results when using rcov with rspec
I have some specs tucked away inside my vendor/plugins directory that I want to run when I run rake spec. I''ve got the rake task working just fine, but for some reason rcov seems to choke when I try to tweak the included/excluded files to ignore any files in app/ but to include files in vendor/plugins/ plugin/app/** The error I get is this: No file to analyze was found. Code coverage of a rails plugin

The plugin is nearly complete, offering a

The first time I load the dashboard I''m seeing a blank area at the top and first button isn''t styled. When the refresh triggers the all of the projects except the first are duplicated and the
