[LLVMdev] first two chapters for the ocaml bindings in svn
Chapters 3 and 4 are now in subversion: http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project/llvm/trunk/docs/tutorial/OCamlLangImpl3.html?view=co http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project/llvm/trunk/docs/tutorial/OCamlLangImpl4.html?view=co These modules add support for codegen and jitting. Control structures are next :)

[LLVMdev] Is it possible to write a llvm pass in OCaml?
Dear All, Is it possible to write a llvm pass in OCaml? Is there any API such as runOnModule() in ModulePass, runOnFunction() in FunctionPass in OCaml? I have looked through the tutorial, http://llvm.org/docs/tutorial/OCamlLangImpl1.html, it looks like just a tutorial about "Implementing a language with LLVM" in Objective Caml. Thank you for your help. Best Regards, GUanhua

[LLVMdev] OCaml Kaleidoscope tutorial links to the C++ tutorial
The link to the next chapter in the navigation list at the top of this page of the OCaml Kaleidoscope tutorial goes to the C++ version: http://llvm.org/docs/tutorial/OCamlLangImpl3.html. The link to chapter 8 in the first chapter is broken: http://llvm.org/docs/tutorial/OCamlLangImpl1.html#intro. It links to the unvavailable page http://llvm.org/docs/tutorial/OCamlLangImpl8.html. [LLVMdev] first two chapters for the ocaml bindings in svn
The full series of the ocaml tutorial is done! You can find it here: http://llvm.org/docs/tutorial/ Please let me know if you have any comments, bugs, suggestions, and etc. I'll send a mail to the ocaml mailing list tomorrow to drum up some interest from the other ocaml users.

I'm sorry I missed this message. Now that you've had some more experience with llvm, would you be interested in adding to the doc some performance and GC stuff? I haven't personally

Chapters
I'm surprised this isn't a FAQ, but I searched all over and could not find a reference to it. Chambers (1998) makes repeated references to "Chapters" in S (e.g., p. 6), but I can find no reference to "Chapters" in R. Since Chapters were not used in earlier versions of S, I'm wondering if R uses them or not. If it does, how does one get them to work? I've

video chapters and subtitles in ogg containers
I'm trying to create files that contain a video stream, one or more audio streams, subtitles, and DVD-like chapter information. ATM, I use ogm containers that can handle all this. But although ogm is supported e.g. by xine (including chapters), it seems to be an unofficial hack. Is that correct? I'd like to move to ogg containers, since ogm doesn't support theora videos. My final

ogg "chapters"?
i'm thinking about albums like "dark side of the moon" and also live bands (especially live-pa) and DJs where there's a continuous flow from one song to the next... i could use a MKV file with vorbis or mp3 and include a chapter listing [with named chapters], that would allow listening to the whole thing with no skipping between songs. at the same time, a listener can skip

[LLVMdev] LLVM-OCaml Bindings Tutorial
Attached are alternative the files for chapters 1-7 that use ocamlyacc and ocamllex. I have cleaned them up and debugged them as best I can but I may have missed something, so any comments on them would be great. Also, the LLVM-OCaml bindings are messed up in Fedora 10 (some of the binary files point to their origonal build directory) so I had to put in a dirty hack in the Makefile. I left in

Comment Header - Chapters
Basically I'm looking for DVD like chapters to point to locations within the file. I'd prefer this over having multiple ogg files. Useful for long files, eg from live recordings, interviews, stories, plays and so on. I was thinking something along the lines of; comment[x]="CHAPTER=00:12:13 Third chapter" comment[x+1]="CHAPTER=00:13:56 Fourth chapter" Anyone else?

Hi Hans, At the moment, Ogg supports two text codecs, CMML and Kate. Both of them are theoretically capable of doing what you want with chapters and subtitles. The biggest problem is player support. There is CMML and kate support in vlc, and kate in mplayer though I am not sure how it is displayed on-screen. Subtitles may display, but chapter markers, I am not so sure about. I assume the
