During Google Summer of Code 2007 I was working on llvm-qemu, which
translates from ARM machine code to LLVM IR (at basic block level)
and via the LLVM JIT to x86 machine code. All source

[LLVMdev] Build problems with llvm-gcc
Hi there
I'm new to LLVM & am trying to build llvm-gcc.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.0.4. on an AMD64 processor.
I've had no problems with building the LLVM suite itself, but during
llvm-gcc compilation I am presented with the following error message - does
anybody happen to know if there is any remedy?

BETTER_BACKTRACES
I have been following the "Asterisk CLI unresponsive" thread and saw the
suggestion to enable BETTER_BACKTRACES
when I went in to do that it said it requires libbfd.. When I went to add
that from yast I get no packages by that name.
I am on openSUSE an ideas if this is part of another package or how I would
get it?
Thanks

Recommended search library?
I''m at a point where I''d like to start adding search capability to my
app, so I thought I''d ask:
Anyone have any recommendations for a good Rails search
library/plugin/etc? There seem to be quite a few different ones out
there, but I don''t have much context on any of them.
What is the difference between using Ferret, or a SearchGenerator,

[LLVMdev] Testing methods
Hi,
What does llvm use for testing.
The area of testing I am interested in are how to test the accuracy of
the assembler/disassembler.
So, if you take an IR level instruction. How do you verify that the
generated CPU specific instruction is correct?
Is there an automated method for this?
I wish to implement automated testing on a decompiler I am writing,
and thought that the test methods used in

password changes with ctrl-alt-del
Currently I'am using samba for file sharing. My smb.conf file is basically
setup as default with a few minor changes. Therefore, my samba server is
not part of a domain. Right now users can map the samba shares with
windows XP... With this type of setup is it possible for them to change
there smbpasswd using ctrl-alt-del? If so any examples or hints on how
to set this up would be great.

ramdisk_size
Hey All,
I'am using pxelinux to try and boot a 200meg uncompressed (approx 50
compressed) ramdisk onto a machine with 512meg of ram. It looks as though
I'am running out of memory (attempt to access beyond end of device error).
Is there a limit on what we put for ramdisk_size? Or Is there other
limitations?
thanks

[OT] Updating a production sqlite database
Hi,
I''ve decided to use sqlite3 to power my rails app. But I''m having
difficulities trying to figure out how I should perform upgrades on
the database once the site goes live.
A minute or two of downtime is no big deal and the database doesn''t
have inserts or updates all that often. But what if inserts and
updates happened a lot, or uptime was crucial? What are good

p-value for non linear model
Hello,
I want to understand how to tell if a model is significant.
For example I have vectX1 and vectY1.
I seek first what model is best suited for my vectors and
then I want to know if my result is significant.
I'am doing like this:
model1 <- lm(vectY1 ~ vectX1, data= d),
model2 <- nls(vectY1 ~ a*(1-exp(-vectX1/b)) + c, data= d,
start = list(a=1, b=3, c=0))
aic1 <- AIC(model1)
