[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc is generating native code
Hi, Ashwin, I think what you want is to add -emit-llvm after llvm-gcc, like: $> llvm-gcc foo.c -o foo.bc -c -emit-llvm Fernando > Hello, > > I downloaded llvm-gcc4.2-2.2.source.tar.gz and followed instructions in > README.LLVM, I used this to configure it: > > ../configure --prefix=/opt/llvm --enable-threads --disable-nls > --enable-languages=c,c++

[LLVMdev] setjmp/longjmp exception handling: how?
Dear list, I want to add SJLJ exception handling to my frontend. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any examples in the documentation as to how to use the intrinsics @llvm.eh.sjlj.setjmp @llvm.eh.sjlj.longjmp @llvm.eh.sjlj.lsda @llvm.eh.sjlj.callsite Is there a way to force Clang to use SJLJ exception handling for C++? That way I would be able to look at its output to learn how to use

New version of Rtools for Windows
I have just uploaded to CRAN a new version 3.2.0.1948 of Rtools for Windows. This will become visible there in a few hours, and be copied to mirrors thereafter. People who want to build packages that include compiled code can use this to supply the compilers, etc., that are necessary for the build. It also includes some extra materials for people who want to build R itself. This version

[LLVMdev] how to resolve llvm exception IR?
hi, I'm doing to make llvm backend support sjlj-eh! I have try to use the llvm-IR to generate the sjlj-eh code, but I'm totally despair ! my major problem is that llvm-ir , I mean exception instrinstics are enough for codegen the sjlj-eh code? May I need to modify the llvm-gcc ? or someone can give some advice about llvm-backend 's support sjlj-eh ? best regards

Notes on building a gcc toolchain for Rtools (but not multilib)
Hi, [This is a follow-up to the "New version of Rtools for Windows" thread in January, but I just subscribed and don't know how to reply to an old thread -- my apologies.] I was able to use the nuwen distro to build a gcc 4.9.2 toolchain and use it to build the latest R-patched with it. Below are some notes about what I did; I hope they will be useful for keeping Rtools

SHLIB steps on a Makefile
Hi, I need to create a Makefile.win for a given package so as to fiddle slightly with the compilation process. My Makefile works fine in Linux but I am having trouble creating Makefile.win for MinGW. I first looked at the commands that Rcmd SHLIB appeared to be running and copied those onto the Makefile. But one step seems to be missing, the creation of the _res.rc file needed by windres

Anton, Duncan, are you OK with this? -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Name: mf.patch Type: application/octet-stream Size: 669 bytes Desc: not
