I can say that it does not for me,running x86_64, I have been generating errors for submission by testing on a number of gnu utilities starting with binutils.

. (period): Wildcard match; matches one or more characters
Hi List;
In the outbound, I read in the documents the Wildcard
match "by using the . (period)", but I did not
understand how Wildcard will work (like what)? As I
know that Wildcard is a term used with the Diguim TDM
card (FXO and FXS), so what is the relation between
such cards and the matching in the dial plan?
Any help?

NSD reload
Hi there!
I remember reading that you cannot reload new zone files on the fly and require a full restart of the nsd daemon? We are evaluating multiple DNS servers that have better performance comparing to bind, but will require quite heavy zone reload (new and existing) every 10 minutes or so. Downtime (even 1-3 secs) is not the option. Thanks!

Almost working
Dev-Cpp is a IDE that can be used with MinGW and GCC but its causing problems.
I installed MinGW since I am used to ./configure type builds but im unsure if this is a tinc issue or OpenSSL issue. I installed openssl 0.9.8e and I get to the following,
$./configure
...
checking openssl/evp.h usability... yes
...
checking for openssl/engine.h... yes
checking for SHA1_version in -lcrypto... no

Any DNS zone files generation tools to recommend?
Hi,
Any one would like to suggest an tool for large-sacle
multiple-networks, multiple-views DNS zone files
automatic generation?
The DNS configuration tool comes with Centos 5
distribution, system-config-bind, looks like more
improvment is in need; I've come upon a tool h2n,
which create zone files from a static hosts file,
looks like better.
But I don't know pupular the h2n perl

Please help: confusing dmesg messages
Hi,
I got a few centos 5 boxes installed for tests and
find the following confusing messages from ?dmesg?
command:
Your BIOS doesn't leave a aperture memory hole
Memory: 4043392k/5242880k available (2397k kernel
code, 150460k reserved, 1222k data, 196k init)
The machine has only 4GB memory chips installed only,
so where comes the number ?5242880k? for memory?

Can Asterisk hear on two IP addresses? And can I do
Dear Alex;
Thanks for your kindly help and answer.
The question here is: how asterisk will be able to
receive calls at two network cards where each network
card has a different IP address.
Maybe we need to know if asterisk is doing a hear on
the ports only without caring for IP or it is doing a
hear only on the IP:port?
Any advise?
Bilal,
There is no technical difference, from Asterisk's

Linux in a Windows 2k3 domain - odd lockout issue
I am currently running an openSuSE 10.2 machine in a
Windows 2k3 domain. I have upgraded to Samba 3.0.26a,
hoping it would solve my issue, but so far no luck.
I was successful in adding my machine to the domain,
and the DC logs show repeated successful
authentications, and those few typo'd attempts, but
nothing that is a sequence of failed logins.
I get tickets and can access shares from

Difference between WaitExten and TIMEOUT (response)
Hi List;
What is the difference between WaitExten function and
TIMEOUT (response)? As I see that both are used to
determine the allowed time to enter the digits, any
one can advise?

asterisk crash and core dump: format_mp3.so
Hi,
My Asterisk server process irregularly segfaults, ie.
it usually works fine (is stable) when there's low
traffic but repeatedly crashes during morning hours
when there are more calls.
I gdb'ed the core dump files and found that the
culprit may be format_mp3. So I disabled MOH today and
will see if that's the cause.
I know that mp3 files are known to cause * crashes but

[Weft QDA users] Weft on Ubuntu -- Ctrl-shortcuts NOT working?
Hi -- have just followed Christophe''s notes to get
Weft QDA up and running on my IBM Thinkpad T20
w/Ubuntu 6.06 (Dapper Drake).
Am just going thru the manual and trying various
things, as I''m new to qualitative analysis AND new to
QDA tools.
Anyway, one thing I''ve found is that many (and maybe
ALL?) of the CTRL-shortcuts mentioned in the
documentation are not working

Fixes to make flac build on Solaris
Josh:
> fixed, thanks!
Thanks. However, I think there is a better patch to fix these problems.
I reworked this patch not long ago to do better testing for what inline
to use in configure, and also a better way to calculate the size of
the #defines in replaygain_analysis.c. This was submitted to the
SourceForge bug tracker as bug 1701960. See here, and note attached
patch.

Problem about samba3 on freebsd, with smbldap-tools [solved]
Hi
I have figured out what went wrong.
I have previously complied samba without ldap support.
There are tdb files in /var/db/samba.
I have just uninstall samba and
remove all tdb files (this instruction was given when run make
deinstall in the samba3 ports, but I didn't follow it before).
I did a fresh recompile with ldap support and now the problem is gone.
Thanks
Patrick

Dial out through multiple Zap groups
Hi,
I'm trying to set a rule to dial out through multiple
Zap groups so that, say, g0 is the cheaper POTS lines
group
and must be used first. However, if g0 is busy or
disconnected then try dialing out g1.
My g0 group is made up of 4 analog lines connected to
a 4-FXO card. I disconnected the RJ-11 wires from the
FXO card
to simulate a line disconnection. So theoretically all
calls should
