[PATCH]: Port to Mac OS X/Darwin, misc
Below I've includes a patch which helps build OpenSSH outside from a read-only source tree, find OpenSSL on Mac OS X, and fix a typo. This applies to OpenSSH 2.1.1p4. You should already have gotten a note from Melissa O'Neil about a conflict with the crc32() symbol in zlib, which was causing a crash on Darwin. I've noticed another bug. If ssh is setuid, I get a permission

Enable gcc's -fstack-protector-all by default?
Hi all. For a while, gcc has supported a stack protection mechanism (-fstack-protector and friends, available in gcc 4.1.2 and up). Can anyone think of a good reason not to enable it if the compiler supports it? A quick test here shows minimal difference in runtime over a full regress pass (~10sec over 8.5 minutes, and since the machine is not entirely idle that could be experimental error).

opus-tools: fix PIE configure test
In opus-tools, the current PIE configure test assumes that the opus headers have been installed under the default header search path of the compiler. This isn't necessarily the case (/usr/local, /opt, ...). OpenSSH 7.4 p1 still can't be build without patch on Solaris 10
Hi, OpenSSH 7.4 p1 still can't be build without patch on Solaris 10 (attached). Pls, may be possible to add conditional compilation/configuration to avoid manual actions before build? May be, in portable version? Otherwise seems OpenSSH stops be portable on all platforms. Thank you, WBR, Yuri. -- What is the fundamental difference between the programmer and by a fag? [PATCH libdrm] configure: Support symbol visibility when available
From: Thierry Reding <treding at nvidia.com> Checks whether or not the compiler supports the -fvisibility option. If so it sets the VISIBILITY_CFLAGS variable which can be added to the per directory AM_CFLAGS where appropriate. By default all symbols will be hidden via the VISIBILITY_CFLAGS. The drm_public macro can be used to mark symbols that should be exported. Signed-off-by: Thierry

[PATCH v2 2/7] lib: Move utilities to new directory common/utils.
Just code motion. This commit makes it clearer what is a utility and what is part of the library. It also makes it clear that we should rename: guestfs-internal-frontend.h -> utils.h guestfs-internal-frontend-cleanups.h -> cleanups.h (?) but this commit does not make that change. --- .gitignore | 10 ++--- Makefile.am
