libvirt support for qcow2 rebase?
I have not found support in libvirt (nor virsh) for doing the equivalent of "qemu-img rebase ....". The use case: You have copied a qcow2 stack and the new files have different names or reside in a different directory. Therefore you need to change the backing file. Is there a way to do this? Is this a planned addition to libvirt? Harald -------------- next part

Sorting Data?
Hello, Im reading through some manuals, but I cannot find my answer. I have a file containing many data: Vpn Code Family Age F1 F2 ... F17 1 1 M 46 1 2 ... 1 2 1 D 18 3 2 ... 4 3 2 M 50 3 3 ... 3 ... and so on. Now I can read it by: F = read.table("file", header=T) but now I want to seperate the mothers (M) and daugthers (D) of the family with all the data in all other fields.

New version of UFO - is there a new HOWTO?
I just installed glusterfs-swift 3.3.1 on a couple of Fedora 18 servers. This is based on swift 1.7.4 and has keystone in the config. I had experimented with the one based on swift 1.4.8 and tempauth and had some problems with it. The HOWTO I can find is still for the old one. Is there an updated one? I would also need to find some instructions on setting up keystone from scratch for

IMQ Stability
Hello all, I have been doing a lot of archive searching over the last week reading posts on IMQ and it''s apparent stability / instability. I have seen a number of posts about it not being maintained as well. Can anyone talk to me about IMQ''s stability in a heavy throughput environment (20 Mbps) and what was causing IMQ to fail if you know. Thanks, Mike

cups printing to a remote network
Everyone, I have an need to be able to print to an HP1320 that is usb connected to a Fedora 17 desktop on a remote network from a Centos 5.8 cups print server on an internal network. The desktop is in a remote network that belongs to to a different client than the one owning the cups print server. Wysiwyg html editor for note taking
I am looking for a wsyiwyg html editor for note taking as I build up a system to note what I am doing. I typically just use gedit, but this system's notes are getting complex, and using code tabs, lists, and the like would make it more enduring. I am looking at lonote on my F17 notebook, but I would like to do the note taking directly on the Centos system. Just basic html. Image

IMQ problems :-(
Hi I have built a custom TMB Mandrake kernel (2.4.22) with IMQ and ESFQ support. I statically compiled both (mistake?) ESFQ is sorted and working fine (I have succesfully patched IPROUTE2). I have got to the stage where I can see the IMQ device as UP with ifconfig. I can use TC to add QDISCs to the IMQ device. However I just cannot sort out IPTABLES to actually redirect packets to the IMQ

PHP handler for .html files - C7
Morning all, I am finally moving some old (F9 thru F17) servers to C7 (Plus PHP7/Pgsql10) boxes. On the old boxes they all had it set so that .htm and .html files were handled by PHP in addition to the normal .php files. This was done with the simple change to: AddHandler php5-script .php .htm .html AddType text/html .php .htm .html in /etc/httpd/conf.d/php.inc. I did the same on my first

Re: qemu hook: event for source host too
That's right, I need also that second hook event. For your information, for now I manage locks manually or via Ansible. To make hook manage locks, I still need to find out a secure way to run LVM commands from a non-root account, but this is another problem. Installing texlive dependencies
Hello ALL! I am running Fedora 16 x86_64. Due to some dubious problems with the TeXLive (2007, which is a default), I removed it. That removed R as well, and some other dependent packages. Then, I installed TeXLive 2011 from CTAN. However, when I wanted to install R, from Fedora's repositories, it asks for some TeX dependencies (for example, tex-preview, texinfo-tex, texlive, texlive-dvips
