Changing password from Windows
Hello, I have a working samba (2.0.7) server (Debian GNU/Linux 2.2) configured with security = user, but NOT domain. The clients are Windows 98. I whish windows users to be able to change their password without logging on the server (unix account on the server are disabled). I tried from the Password applet of the Control Panel, but I was able only to change the password stored on the Windows

[PATCH 0/4] ARM/early-printk: Improve reusability and add Calxeda support
The current early-printk support for ARM is rather hard-coded, making it hard to add machines or tweak settings. This series slightly moves some code to gather UART settings in xen/arch/arm/Rules.mk instead of the actual .c files. Also it allows two different machines with different settings to share the same driver, which the last patch exploits to add support the Calxeda Midway hardware. This

Broadcast probe blocked by firewall
Hi to all. I have an unusual problem on a Linux box: sometimes the box is invisible to the Windows clients, I have to restart the service to restore proper operations. I think to have traced down the problem. During bootstrap, eventually Samba initialize itself when the iptables firewall is not yet completely initialized. During a little time the firewall is rejecting broadcast requests. I

Riello Vision VST 1100 + NetMan 204 network card
I've contacted Riello and they told me that the NetMan 204 is the new version of the Netman Plus 102 and is indeed compatible with NUT. I don't know how to update the Hardware compatibility list page, but the 204 should be added to the compatible ones. Niccolo' Il 2022-06-17 12:02 Niccol? Riello Vision VST 1100 + NetMan 204 network card
Hi, I'm looking for a small 230V Line Interactive Pure Sine Wave UPS with NUT support via network. It looks like the VST1100 has a communication slot for an optional NetMan 204 network card, but I couldn't figure out if that would be compatible with NUT. What I need is being able to monitor the UPS in Home Assistant (which uses NUT AFAIK) plus being able to automatically shut down a

corrgram (package corrgram): how to plot multiple correlograms in the same page?
Hello, I am trying to plot a few correlograms on the same figure, with the function corrgram() from the package corrgram. However, the function does not seem to use the base graphic system, as setting out the multiple figure layout with, e.g., par(mfrow=c(2, 2,)) does not work. Does anybody know a workaround for this? Many thanks in advance for any advice best giuseppe -- Giuseppe Pagnoni,
