[PATCH supermin 0/2] Allow an alternate libc to be used for init.
v1 -> v2:
- If we split out the init program into a separate init/ directory,
that makes it much easier to build against an alternate libc.
I tried to build against uClibc, but uClibc requires an entire build
chain, which looked like it was going to be a massive ballache.

[PATCH 0/2] supermin: improve handling of memory
Hi,
the two patches improve the way memory is handled in supermin, by
cleanly exiting on memory allocation failures, and free'ing memory when
not needed (to keep working and not run out of memory).

Check for failures in memory allocations
Free memory buffers when not used

[PATCH supermin v2 1/4] init: Uncompress modules before adding them to the mini initrd.
When building the mini initrd, previously we copied the modules into
the initrd as-is, so for example if the module was xz-compressed, we
copied the foo.ko.xz file to the initrd. This requires that the mini
init binary is linked to zlib & lzma, so that it knows how to
uncompress these modules when insmoding them at boot time. Also since
the init is statically linked, it required _static_

[supermin PATCH] RFC: Add a --names-only flag.
This takes a list of package names, adding them to the image
without pulling any dependencies.
Only implemented for Debian at the moment.
zypper wasn't build-tested because I don't have the dependency.

[PATCH 4/4] rpm: mageia: prefer dnf over urpmi
Mageia introduced dnf as alternative package manager for the next
version 6, with the possibility to replace urpmi as primary in the
future.
As such, prefer dnf over urpmi+fakeroot to download rpm packages.
Thanks to Neal Gompa for his heads-up.

[PATCH 00/12] Multidisk support
Hello,
the following patches should get multidisk access working.
The syntax accepted is the following:
(hdx,y)/path/to/file
where x is the disk number and start at 0 and the y is the partition number starting at 1. So (hd0,1) is the first partition of the first disk.
the other accepted syntax is using MBR's 32 bits disk signature so for example:
(mbr:0x12345678,2)/foo/bar

what the best ? apt-get? yum or urpmi ?
Hello, I must make a choice concerning the use of a tool used to update
rpms: yum, urpmi or apt-get.
Personally, I use urpmi every day, without real problems (the
dependences, even those of Perl are very well managed),
the "hdlist" can be used in several forms , it contains a lot of
funtions but, it is not integrated into
up2date and does not have a graphic interface that fits Centos3

Re: [PATCH v2 0/3 supermin] URPMI & xz support.
I had to make some changes to the xz patch.
The code that was used for conftest had to be modified and I needed to add
lzma to the link line. The urpmi patch worked fine.

subset of string by index
How can I get a substring based on the index into the string?
strM <- c("abcde", "cdefg")
ind <- c(1,3,5)
I want to use ind to index into the strings so the result is:
strMind <- c("ace", "ceg")

[PATCH nbdkit v2 0/3] Rewrite xz plugin as a filter.
v2:
- Fixes a number of bugs in corner cases.
- Uses a 1M block size to fetch from the underlying plugin. This
improves performance considerably.
I also tested this much more thoroughly and can't find any more bugs.

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Implement dbgs()
Here's the patch to provide dbgs(). By default it works just like errs().
When -debug-buffer-size=N (N > 0) is set, it buffers output sent to it and
dumps it at program termination via a signal handler.
Please review. Thanks!

[PATCH nbdkit 0/2] Rewrite xz plugin as a filter.
Matt asked if xz should really be a filter rather than a plugin. The
answer is yes, of course it should be! That's been something in the
todo file for a while.
The commit converts the xz plugin code into a filter (leaving the
plugin around, but deprecating it).
plugin: nbdkit xz file.xz
filter: nbdkit --filter=xz file file.xz
plugin: # can't be done
filter: nbdkit

[PATCH / RFC] Handle --packager-config in zypp_rpm
This is an attempt to handle a different --reposd-dir in the zypp_rpm
driver. Up to now the system repositories in /etc/zypp/repos.d were
used.
To specify a different set of repositories for zypp a parser for a
simple zypper.conf is added in this patch. It just looks for reposdir=
in section main, like this:
[main]
reposdir=/path/to/other/repofiles
If the config file provided via
