Crash with 1.1alpha2 when lazy_expunge is enabled?
I'm seeing a crash in 1.1alpha2 when trying to expunge a folder when
"lazy_expunge" is enabled:
namespace private {
separator = .
prefix = .EXPUNGED/
location = maildir:/mailstore/%u/Expunged
hidden = yes
}
...
lazy_expunge = .EXPUNGED/ .EXPUNGED/ .EXPUNGED/
Commenting out "lazy_expunge" prevents the crash and mail is expunged.
It happens with and without

DNS caching is not working on CentOS
Hi All:
For whatever reason I can not get dns caching to work on any of my
centos boxes. Running Centos 5 and 6. Any thoughts on why these will
not run? The services start fine but when telling to perform a dig
using itself as the resolver the queries fail (See below).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ed

NLME error model with several responses
Hi!
I am using the NLME package for R to modeling glucose-insuline
response with Bergman's model, very similar to the example in the
documentation for the NLME package.
My question concerns the model for the residuals. I use a proportional
model , Var(e_{ij})=(sigma_g*G(t))^2 for the glucose response and
Var(e_{ij})=(sigma_i * I(t))^2 for the insulin response. Hence I have

Axes crossing at origin
Hi,
I'm having a bit of trouble with the axes in my plots. I don't like the way
R does not have them cross in the origin. Is there another plot/axis
function? i tried using abline as suggested by someone from this list, but
in my case this gives no satisfactory result, as the abline does sometimes
lie on top of the y axis and sometimes not, depending on how i scale the
image...

R vs. Splus in Pharma/Devices Industry
Following up to some extent on Friday's discussion regarding the
'validation' of R, could I ask the list group's opinion on possible
advantages of R over Splus from a pharma/devices perspective? I wish to
exclude the obvious price difference, which doesn’t seem to carry as much
weight as I would have thought. Besides, I have noticed many former Splus
users gravitating towards R,

Anyone connected Asterisk to hospitality packages such as:

We'd be interested in providing bounty on providing a connection to one or
more (depending upon what the client selects) if our proposal goes through.
Ultimately, about 300 to 600 stations will be provided.

Reference to use of MLR in industry and biology
I apologize in advance for posting a question not related to R.
I need references to papers that use multiple linear regression in an industrial application and also in a biological experiment.
This is aimed to biologists/chemists (non-statisticans) so if anyone has written a brilliant paper where the use of multiple regression is important and also understandable to people with little
