Where did you get the Syslinux source? Could you try with the latest
from Arch Linux [testing], just in case?
FWIW, the Syslinux archives in kernel.org already contain binary
files. Using official files without re-compiling might help find out
if perhaps there is some build problem.

Syslinux 6.02 BIOS - issue on physical devices
Hi
Thanks for confirmation about syslinux 6.02 requirements.
I see small misunderstanding. A used word "Syslinux 6.02 BIOS" mean the
respective syslinux binary files from "/bios" subdirectory for PC's with
Legacy PXE or PC's with PXE where CSM mode is enabled.
Some idea where is the issue?
Do the syslinux 6.02 working well from PXE on multiple PC's in your place?

Syslinux 6.01 PXE tftp problem
Hey,
i'm using latest Syslinx 6.01 and try to get the linux kernel booted via

If i select the entry i get: "Bad file number!". Over http it works like a
charm.
With the pxelinux.0 it works via

[PATCH] 4 Patches for initrd+= and initrdfile= Options
Attached are 4 patches against Syslinux 4.06 providing two new options for
the linux.c32 ComBoot32 module. If we are shifting gears towards 4.10 or 5
any time soon, feel free to let me know and I'll attempt to apply the
patches to those and to deal with any conflicts.
You can merge these commits onto your 4.06 from my 'multi_initrd' branch at:

bug in syslinux 6.01 with gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L
Hello,
I notice a bug in syslinux 6.01 ( bios version ) when I install it in a
USB flash drive ( FAT32 partition ) and when I want to boot this USB
flash drive with a gigabyte motherboard ( GA-P31-DS3L ),
I setup my usb flash drive ( 4 Gb ) like this in windows XP :
syslinux.exe -m -a -i -d /boot/syslinux H:
then I create a syslinux.cfg menu and I add these files : chain.c32
libcom32.c32

initramfs howto
Hi,
Here's a try at writing an initramfs HOWTO.
This is basically a write-up of a number of interesting emails I collected
over time.
It could probably use an editor, more fact-checking and a bunch of other
good things, but it should be better than nothing ;-)

initramfs scripts and other stuff
Hi,
The attached patch is an update to the latest klibc (I just checked a
few bits into CVS) which adds support for initramfs. Since it contains
bits that aren't available yet on the main site, I've also put a tarball
up which contains only what's in the latest CVS.
The initramfs stuff is what I use here to boot one of my machines; it
works for me, but probably won't work

[PATCH] Allow the initramfs to be persisted across root changes
systemd supports switching back to the initramfs during shutdown in
order to make it easier to clean up the root file system. This is
desirable in order to allow us to remove keys from RAM before rebooting,
making it harder to obtain confidential information by rebooting into an
environment that scrapes RAM contents.
