Two questions about menus
1) Feature request: the possibility to indicate a "short title" to appear in the menu when the title would be too long. 2) Consider this site: a.page misc/ sub.page Now I see in the menu: A Misc | Sub Is there any way to change "Misc" to an arbitrary string? I tried with misc: title: arbitrary with no luck. -- Andrea Censi "Life is

Sub-menus?
Hey guys, I have been trying unsuccessfully to create a menu that holds "sub-menus". To clarify, I want something along the lines of when you click on a File menu, then see the "New" menu, which you can click on to open a new layer of menus. Is this supported yet in WxRuby? sub menus / multiple distros on usb key w/ syslinux
being a complete novice with syslinux, I was hoping someone here could help me out. I have a USB Key that I have "broken" into two areas. General storage in the "back" and space for several live distributions on the front. What I need to do now is figure out how to make a syslinux.cfg file that would let me pick which one to boot at startup time. Basically, I want a menu

Tabbed Menus - link_to_unless_current
This is more difficult than I originally anticipated. Any help in figuring this out is most appreciated: This is a code snippet from my header.rhtml (or erb) file that draws tabbed menus: <ul> <% [["Home", "/home" ], ["Positions", "/company" ], ["Leads",

Creating menus with Ruby
Hello all, I''m continuing my journey into Ruby and Rails and would like to find a way to create CSS-compliant menus. I want to restrict what appears on the menu based on the user''s role, so I''m thinking that I''ll store the list of roles in which the user is a member in the session. Does this make sense? Better yet, does anyone have any sample code (or a

Dynamic menus
What is the preferred or standard method to create dynamic dhtml menus from a database. I have an application that will need some shiney menus but I don''t really want to write it all out by hand unless I have to. What do you guys like to use when you have a (fairly) complex menu to create? Thanks Matt --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message

Missing menus...
Hi, I'm running 20041019 this morning using a new program that I've not been able to load before. (Native Instruments Reaktor Session) The GUI is up and looking good, but menus are essentially missing. When I choose the 'File' menu what I see is a gray box with 5 gray lines in it, then one menu entry that has appropriate text, and then another gray line.On the one entr that has

[Offtopic] menus of Windows applications
Hi, I'm curious how feasible would it be to make menu commands of Windows applications available over DBus? It would give endless possibilities if Windows applications could join GTK/QT/XUL/Java applications that share there functionality to be implemented a various innovative ways (Gnome Shell menu, Unity app menu, HUD). I see that it might not be trivial because Windows programs are

Menus disappear under the mouse
Hi, Anyone offer a solution for this? As the mouse passes over the menus they close so that the menu item cannot be selected. This only happens under KDE, fluxbox and wmaker are fine. Installed on Knoppix-Debian. Many thanks, Dave Coventry _____________________________________________________________ Get email for your site ---> http://www.everyone.net

[BUG] No shadows on panel/menus unless shadow_radius is a multiple of 5
Greetings to everybody, After erasing any previous compiz configuration, I recently installed Compiz 0.5.0, compiling it from the official tarball and I must say the whole experience is a bit smoother without the cruft of my past experiments and (mis)configurations. I had one problem though: no shadows on gnome-panel and menus, switching back to 0.4 didn't help. Then I found this old thread

Howto create a password for complex menus
Hello I tried to make my own password hashes for the complex menu. For this, I searched the SYSLINUX sources and the web and couldn't find any howto about that. The only information was in the "password" file (max. 40Byte with DES encryption). Unfortunatly, this was too few for me. Can you please add to the documentation, that the hashes can be created with OpenSSL ? # openssl

Hangs with graphical menu when switching menus, a lot?
I have seen some odd hangs with the new graphical menu, but only on one system and only when switching menus over and over and over again. I'm trying to identify the problem, so if you see this on any system, please report it to me with as many system details as possible as soon as possible. Thanks! -hpa

No sub-menus in complex.c32q
Hi, I have created my own custom menu using menu/complex.c as an example. This was way back in the syslinux 2.x days, so the menu system had not yet been converted to COM32. With a few minor changes, I now have this compiling and running under v3.63. The problem is that only the top level menu works. Trying to access any sub-menu results in the program exiting back to the boot prompt. I

Wine menus - rebuilding, deleting
Hi I have a few questions about Wine's menu handling: 1. Is there some kind of command that will build a wine menu based on all the files in the standard locations (Start menu and Desktop)? This would be useful for rebuilding the Wine menu after deleting it. (Since deleting the menu entries belonging to a single prefix is not easy) winemenubuilder seem to take only single shortcuts as

Re: Wine menus - rebuilding, deleting
Thanks for the work you did on this - I needed it to clean out some messy entries in Gnome after moving a $HOME structure to a newer Ubuntu release - the original menu's had their titles messed up in ~/.local/share/applications/ I rewrote your script to use shell constructs instead of 'find'. I've copied it here for others to play with. Code: #!/bin/sh wine="wine"
