[PATCH 4/4] drm/nouveau/kms/nv50-: Share DP SST mode_valid() handling with MST
Currently, the nv50_mstc_mode_valid() function is happy to take any and
all modes, even the ones we can't actually support sometimes like
interlaced modes.
Luckily, the only difference between the mode validation that needs to
be performed for MST vs. SST is that eventually we'll need to check the
minimum PBN against the MSTB's full PBN capabilities (remember-we don't
care about

Making the video plugin + patched MPlayer work with other backends
Hi,
I'm wondering how I can make my patched up mplayer work with other
MPlayer frontends, such as mplayer-plugin, GMPlayer, SMPlayer and
KMPlayer. When I play a video using mplayer normally with:
mplayer video.ext,
It detects the compiz video output and works fine, however when it is
called from other players (AFAIK, it just creates a window then asks
mplayer to display in it) with mplayer

GM206 [GeForce GTX 960] with 4k display
I was getting a glicthy checkerboard mess at the cursor in some programs (konsol+) with
# cat /proc/cmdline
BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.9.0-2-amd64 root=UUID=4107d1db-62a3-427c-8515-c954a103ce25 ro text quiet
changed the command line in a blind attempt to:
$ cat /proc/cmdline
BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.9.0-2-amd64 root=UUID=4107d1db-62a3-427c-8515-c954a103ce25 ro

install
I just complete an install of 2.6.9-11.EL i686
On reboot, I get a couple of minor errors:
smartd [FAILED] (not sure what this is)
and then an error saying that no X server could be started (I installed
using the graphical install and selected 'everything' as a first-time
install)
The error states:
(EE) VIA(0): No valid modes found.
According to the detail output, VIA seems to get loaded

Theora encode/decode performance is poor - with resolution 640X480
We build a Voip client with Iaxclient(Jiaxclient+Iaxclient2.1beta1+Theora1.0+libvidcap0.21),when we established video call with resolution 640X480(bitrate:500000,frameRate:11,fragsize:1472) in both sides,the CPU is consumed about 100%,the workload of Asterisk server is good at that moment.This issue does not exist with the resolution 320X240(bitrate:204800,frameRate:11,fragsize:1500), the

I tried to encode two minutes from an AVI DV file 720x480:
ffmpeg latest release produces a FLV 320x240 25fps 360k video 40k audio in about 45 sec.
ffmpeg latest release produces an OGG 320x240 25fps 360k video 40k audio in about 1:20 sec.
ffmpeg2theora the same in about 2 minutes or more.
The FLV quality it's quite good, some dropped frames maybe.
I was wondering to know if ffmpeg team

[LLVMdev] Canonicalizing vector masking.
Hi, I received an internal test case from a game team (it wasn't about this
in particular), and I was wondering if there was maybe an opportunity to
canonicalize a particular code pattern:
%inputi = bitcast <4 x float> %input to <4 x i32>
%row0i = and <4 x i32> %inputi, <i32 -1, i32 0, i32 0, i32 0>
%row0 = bitcast <4 x i32> %row0i to <4 x float>
