[PATCH 00/10] Add support for MPEG2 and VC-1 on VP3/VP4 for NV98-NVAF
As it turns out, with the proprietary firmware, the VP3 and VP4 interfaces are identical. Furthermore, this is all already implemented for nvc0. So these patches (a) move the easily sharable bits of the nvc0 implementation into the nouveau directory, and then (b) implement the other parts in nv50. The non-shared parts are still largely copies, but there are some differences, not the least of which

[PATCH] nv50: H.264/MPEG2 decoding support via VP2, available on NV84-NV96, NVA0
Adds H.264 and MPEG2 codec support via VP2, using firmware from the blob. Acceleration is supported at the bitstream level for H.264 and IDCT level for MPEG2. Known issues: - H.264 interlaced doesn't render properly - H.264 shows very occasional artifacts on a small fraction of videos - MPEG2 + VDPAU shows frequent but small artifacts, which aren't there when using XvMC on the same

[PATCH 23/23] nvc0: implement support for maxwell texture headers
Can you push this to a repo somewhere? I want to see what the final version looks like after all your changes, but it's hard to see that with these patches. [PATCH 23/23] nvc0: implement support for maxwell texture headers
From: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs at redhat.com> Adds support for the new TIC layout that's present on Maxwell GPUs, heavily based on the code for the existing layout. This code is required for GM20x support. While GM10x supports the older layout still, this commit switches it to use the updated version instead. Piglit testing shows zero regressions on GM107. [PATCH] nouveau/video: make sure that firmware is present when checking caps
Apparently some players are ill-prepared for us claiming that a decoder exists only to have creating it fail, and express this poor preparation with crashes (e.g. flash). Check that firmware is there to increase the chances of there being a high correlation between reported capabilities and ability to create a decoder. 'error in rsync protocol data stream' - Tim Conway
Tim, I reported a protocol data stream error on 9/8/2002 Deatils are in my postes at that time rsync still fails everytime I run it. This time I added three v's as you just suggested and rsync just hung with two tasks in execution thus: root 3178 0.1 0.9 1796 868 pts/1 S 09:57 0:00 /usr/bin/rsync -vvva --delete --exclude=root/snapsh root 3179 0.0 0.6 1628 632 pts/1

[PATCH] nv50: enable H.264 for NV98+ (VP3, VP4.0)
Create the ref_bo without any storage type flags set for now. This can probably be split up somehow later on, but this seems to work. Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> Cc: "10.0" <mesa-stable at lists.freedesktop.org> --- Would be great if someone could see if this also makes MPEG4 work on NVA3+. In order to do that, remove the if (chipset < 0xc0)

[PATCH] nouveau: add valid range tracking to nouveau_buffer
This logic is borrowed from the radeon code. The transfer logic will only get called for PIPE_BUFFER resources, so it shouldn't be necessary to worry about them becoming render targets. Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- A user reported a ~30% FPS improvement with an earlier version of this patch in TF2, and no visual regressions in CS, all on a nv50 card. AW: Probleme with Kmeans...
Sorry, to solve your question I had tried: data(faithful) kmeans(faithful[c(1:20),1],10) Error: empty cluster: try a better set of initial centers But when I run this a second time it will be ok. It seems, that kmeans has problems to initialize good starting points, because of the random choose of these starting initial points. With kmeans(data,k,centers=c(...) the problem can be solved.
