How to display laptop screen on LCD TV?
Hi, I am running CentOS 5.2 on Acer laptop, I try to display laptop screen on a LCD TV via VGA cable. It was fine while PC was booting in text mode, but as soon as I started X Window, the LCD TV has error "Unsupported signal, adjust your PC out". How can I adjust or may be regenerate an xorg.conf for the LCD TV (Sony KDL-40V5500)? Thank you. Kind Regards, Jupiter

x windows setting up laptop external monitor at different resolution than LCD
I need to setup my laptop external monitor at 1366x768 while my LCD is only 1024x768. Is this done by dual head selections in the display configuration? How is that accomplished? Thanks, Jerry

ATI Radeon IGP resolution problems
My NC4010 has the ATI Radeon IGP 350M controller http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11832_na/11832_na.HTML It works fine in 800x600 but when I change it to 1024x768 the LCD goes bad. Hard to discribe, it looks like the 800x600 is just smaller in the upper left with parts clipped and the rest of the screen repeats part of the reduced sized image. I am running at 60Mz. I have

EROR connection/_handle_connection Wrong request type from client
Hi, AFAIK, icecast only supports specific HTTP request methods (GET for listeners, PUT/SOURCE for sources). This message is logged when a client uses an unsupported request method (such as HEAD or POST). Please note that this might be inaccurate, but I saw this kind of logs during a development that involved unsupported request methods. ? Teddy Le 2018-05-01 13:00, Damian a ?crit?: >

ATI Radeon IGP 350M resolution problems
My HP 4010 and the IGP 350M video card. I can only get it to go into 800x600 mode. At one time, Resolution Display (gnome desktop) was giving me an option of 1024x768 and if I selected it the monitor went crazy. Now I don''t even get that higher resolution as an option. I have searched far and wide for information on this card and the Radeon linux driver. No help at all. My

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-video-ati-6.6.191
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 This is pre-release of the ATI driver aimed at 7.3. It doesn't contain randr1.2 support it does however contain a major re-write of the output mappings from what was known as Alex's superpatch. Please logs all regressions into bugzilla so we can fix them before the 6.7 release. Adam Jackson: Undo unintended configure.ac change.

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-video-ati 6.7.191
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 ATI 6.8 pre-release This is the long awaited radeon driver with randr 1.2 support. radeon 6.7 was pretty much a dead end, so it's been branched for those that still want to play with it. In addition to randr support there are quite a few other goodies: zero copy tfp, improved connector table parsing, TV-out support, and much more. Changes since

ATI Radeon Mobility M6 LY & IBM Thinkpad R40
Does anyone have any experience with the combination of a Thinkpad R40 and the ATI Radeon Mobility M6 LY video chip? I''ve had CentOS 4.1, 4.2, and now 4.3 running just great with 1024x768 resolution, but according the IBM specs, this chip is capable of 1280x1024. A quick lspci -v | grep ATI spewed the following: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility

Cannot update xiph repository
Hi Damian The main reason for this issue is the expired Multimedia signing key expired for openSUSE OBS Multimedia – aka xiph repository. The documentation has not been updated as mentioned in Step 2 : https://wiki.xiph.org/index.php?title=Icecast_Server/Installing_latest_version_(official_Xiph_repositories)

EROR connection/_handle_connection Wrong request type > from client
Thanks for clarifying that Philipp. Yeah, I compared the time stamps in the error.log and access.log (below) and saw the corresponding HEAD requests. I've been getting a lot of these so I thought that there was something I could do to allow these clients to connect to the stream. I guess I just need to ignore them. Thanks Damian Snippet from error.log [2018-05-04 00:28:17] EROR

Incredibly slow Roaming Profiles
We've just set up an internal domain, and had a single XP Pro machine join without any difficulties. But we need this machine (and the other handful with it) to use Roaming Profiles, which is posing something of a speed issue. I have logged on, killed the 'You do not own the profile' tidbit, fixed up permissions, and finally gotten XP to read the profile from the SAMBA server
