R installation problems on Linux Mint 18.1 via jessie-cran3
Okay folks, I give up and - frankly - I'm fed up! I thought I'd sorted all
this last week, but clearly not. I've tried using mirrors from here in the
UK, Ireland, France and the USA and whichever mirror I use, all I get is
this:
clive at climate ~ $ sudo apt-get update
Hit:1 http://ubuntu.mirrors.uk2.net/ubuntu xenial InRelease

gpg: public key not found
Quick question:
I was trying to verify signature file rsync-2.6.0.tar.gz.sig for latest
version or rsync and am getting:
gpg: Signature made Thu Jan 01 11:14:08 2004 PST using DSA key ID 4B96A8C5
gpg: Can't check signature: public key not found
I've checked for this key id but have not found it. Yes I have imported
samba-pubkey.asc but still not go...
Thanks in advance,
Dave G.

Installin wine 1.3 shouldn't be this complicated!
I'm new to ubuntu but i'm starting to understand it. However, Ubuntu is completely useless for me if I can't run the latest version of wine (1.3).
Wine 1.2 was working great on 10.04 however photoshop cs4 wouldn't install on it. So I upgraded to maverick, deleted wine 1.2, and am now trying to install wine 1.3. Should be simple, right?
I've added the correct repositories to

Attempting to update from R 2.14 to 2.15 on Ubuntu
R-SIG-Debian
I am very new to Linux so I probably am doing something stupid but I cannot seem to update to R 2.15
Using Ubuntu 12.02 Precise Penguin
I realise that debian packages are not updated regularly so I tried to follow the insructions at the R-site
So far, I have modified /etc/apt/sources.list to read

I had to bust the cache on one of my Docker images and when I rebuilt it I
noticed something rather concerning from the `apt-get install` step:

samba library distribution key
Hi,
I think I'm probably being dense but I can't seem to find this key
anywhere but it was used to sign tdb which I need for a project I'm
working on:
"samba library distribution key" RSA key ID 13084025
I've looked on pgp.mit.edu, keyserver.pgp.com and finally just asked
Google but they don't seem to know either.
Thanks,
Rich.

Bad signature in samba sources?
Hello
What should I do in this case? It seems the signature of Samba sources
is bad.
I tried downloading from CZ and FI mirrors and both had the same problem.
I got this key by
bash-2.05b$ gpg --keyserver wwwkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys 2F87AF6F

Regresión lineal múltiple: modelo polinómico de grado 3 superpuesto a componentes cosenoidales
Hola:
Tengo un modelo de regresión lineal en el cual las componentes son cosenoidales, y lo construyo del siguiente modo:

R installation problems on Linux Mint 18.1 via jessie-cran3
Is there a reason for jessie-cran3 rather than xenial? For Linux Mint 18 (admittedly
not 18.1) I have
deb https://cloud.r-project.org/bin/linux/ubuntu xenial/
as one of the apt entries.

I am trying to add Michael Rutter's ppa to my

line.? I think I may be behind a firewall so copying
the key to a text file is my best option.? When I
search for the key at

the search fails. Tried typing and
cutting and pasting E084DAB9 into
the search box without success. How
can I get the key?

public key for verification of Syslinux distribution
Hi Kamen,
In addition to the signing key, there are a few other issues:
1. The signed 6.0.3 sources from kernel.org<http://kernel.org/> or any other sites/repos directly related to the syslinux project will not cleanly compile
2. As such, Linux distros have had to combine some version of the broken sources with their signed patches to create binary packages
3. Some distros patch the
