[LLVMdev] Google Summer of Code Idea
This email is written on the premise that LLVM will be involved in
GSOC again this year. I noted that the wiki's open projects page [0]
has several possible projects, that seem suitable for a summer of code
project. I am writing this email to this list with the hope of
getting some feedback on specifics for a GSOC application, and also
wondering if any potential mentors are interested in

Google Summer of Code with Xiph.org
All,
I'm pleased to announce that Xiph.org has been selected as a mentoring
organization for the 2006 Google Summer of Code program. So if you need
a summer job, and there's something about free multimedia that's been
bugging you, here's your chance!
We've put up some project ideas for things we'd like to see in the wiki

Dear libguestfs developers and users,
it is my pleasure to welcome Hiroyuki Katsura as Google Summer of Code
2019 student for libguestfs!
He will work on adding Rust bindings, to allow using libguestfs in Rust
applications. You can read the project submission here:

I'm in the process of checking in a Java and a CLI FE to the llvm
repository. I'm not sure what's the shape of llvm-java. Do your changes

[LLVMdev] Proposal for a Google summer of code project for the Java frontend.
As I told you, I am working with the Java frontend. Currently I am
working with the code from http://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/java/. The
first task has been to put it up to date, since it was written for
LLVM 1.9 and there are few incompatibilities. This is mostly done. How
can I submit a patch?
I am interested to get this work funded by a Google summer of code
grant. Is there anyone interested

Dear All,
Has someone registered LLVM as an organization for Google Summer of Code
2015? I'm interested in mentoring a GSoC student this summer.

Removal of mailist duplicates?
I am using mpop to fetch mail from my service provider (who use dovecot).
I use dovecot to hold all my mail on a local slackware server, with
sieve filters, based on 'List-Id', directing mailist postings to their
own folders.
I use thunderbird to read my mail on an ubuntu desktop.
When I receive a reply to a posting I make to a mailist (such as this
one), replies I receive are

Help wanted! - Icecast is applying for Google Summer of Code through Xiph.org
Hi everyone,
We've decided to apply for this year's Google Summer of Code. Xiph.org
has taken part before, so we hope to get at least one or two, maybe even
3 students.
If we get chosen we need project ideas and mentors though. We've already
started to collect some ideas that would hopefully be sized for students
here:

Google Summer of Code 2009
Hi,
in approximately one months time mentoring institutions can propose
projects for the Google Summer of Code 2009, see
http://code.google.com/soc/
Last year the R Foundation succesfully participated with 4 projects,
see http://www.r-project.org/SoC08/ for details. We want to
participate again this year. Our project proposals will be managed by

[LLVMdev] Google Summer of Code Projects
First of all, I'd like to thank the entire LLVM team for this opportunity.
Torvald, google only displays the abstract on the results page, but I do know
about Tanger and it was mentioned in both the proposal and the comments
that followed, I'll write an email to you later with that info in a
bit, and I do intend
to use as much available infrastructure as possible, and tanger/tinystm are
