Pre-built binaries unavailable?
Strange. Some of the files work for me, and some get the error message
you showed.
Looking at the server response headers, some of my requests were cache
hits on the CDN, and some were not, so it appears the origin server is
not dead.
Anton or Tanya, apparently the First Byte Timeout is something that
can be configured in Fastly (Origins, Hosts, Advanced Options).
Perhaps it needs to be

I had a problem with the following files seven hours ago when my build
failed.

releases.llvm.org randomly failing with Service Unavailable
I'm seeing fairly routine "Service Unavailable" when trying to download
5.0.1 files from releases.llvm.org. I thought I'd fixed it by switching
to https, but others are seeing the failures.

[Polly] Reduced code analyzability moving from LLVM 3.9.0 to 5.0.1
Hi Johannes,
Perfect, thanks! The CFG now looks very similar to what I got on LLVM
3.9.0 ([1] vs [2]).
Any idea why setting -simplifycfg-sink-common=false is necessary?
Similar to LLVM 5.0.1, the default for 3.9.0 is true [3], and setting it
to false wasn't necessary in the latter version.

Using Puppet for downgrading Varnish (circular dependency)
Hi all,
I am trying to use puppet (2.7.18) for downgrading varnish cache on Centos
Linux (6.3).
Unfortunately there are two varnish RPMs (which seem to have circular
dependencies):
varnish-3.0.4-1.el6.x86_64
varnish-libs-3.0.4-1.el6.x86_64
When using "ensure" for downgrading I get a bunch of errors:
err: /Stage[main]/Varnish/Package[varnish-libs]/ensure: change from
3.0.4-1.el6

[Polly] Reduced code analyzability moving from LLVM 3.9.0 to 5.0.1
Hi,
Recently I was looking at the potential of optimizing through Polly. The
code that I am trying to optimize [1] adjusts a picture's colors to get
an Instagram-like effect.
To improve code analyzability on LLVM 3.9.0, I made the following changes:
- Improve SCoP detection through -polly-process-unprofitable
- Enable outer loop vectorization through -polly-vectorizer=stripmine,
disabling

find with exclude directory
Hey all,
I'm trying to do a find of all files with the phrase 'varnish' in the
name, but want to exclude a user home directory called
/usr/local/digitalplatform.
Here's what I was able to come up with:
find / -path '/usr/local/digitalplatform/*' -prune -o -name "*varnish*"
Which results in this:
[root at uszmpwsls014lb ~]# find / -path

Overriding package installation source
Hi,
I use a module (for Varnish in this case) which has the typical install,
service, package classes.
-- modules/varnish/manifests/install.pp:
class varnish::install {
package { $varnish::params::package_name:
ensure => installed,
}
}
-- modules/project/manifests/proxy.pp
class project::proxy {
include varnish
}

Varnish-ban-manager + vhosts
Hi guys.
've installed varnish-ban-manager (
https://github.com/dot2code/varnish-bans-manager) and I'm currently
configuring it's DNS name. The thing is that I've set in Route53 (DNS
service in AWS) to use name http:// purge.domain.com / pointing to http://
varnish_server_name.com/. The thing is, if I test with http ://
purge.domain .com:9000/ it works normally, but using http: //

Can anyone talk infrastructure with me?
Hi All,
I started a 501c3 (not-for-profit) organization back in February 2011 to deal with information archival. A long vision here, I wont bore you with the details (if you really want to know, e-mail me privately) but the gist is I need to build an infrastructure to accommodate about 2PB of data that is database stuff, stored video, crawl data, static data sets, etc. Right now in my testing of
