Since update of January 15th Left 4 Dead 2 (steam) crashes
Hi all. I was using wine 1.3.10 to run Steam and Left 4 Dead2 successfully until recently. Last week, there was an update for Steam, and now I can't start Left 4 Dead 2. It starts up, but then immediately crashes. The window "Preparing to launch Left 4 Dead 2" pops up, and then disappears. It worked flawlessly last Sunday, and yesterday it stopped working. I am getting the same

RFC: Adding "minidump" support to obj2yaml
Hello all, yesterday I sent an email <http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/lldb-dev/2019-March/014811.html> to lldb-dev proposing a new tool in lldb for yamlization of minidump files. It's been suggested to me that instead of a new tool it may be better to add support for that format to obj2yaml instead. Hence, this email. :) As I expect most people are unfamiliar with this format, I'm

Steam Games on OSX
Hi all, I am trying to run games, like tf2 and hl2, on my macbook2,1. I installed wine-devel (1.3.1) from macports. Here is the log: err:winedevice:ServiceMain driver L"vstor2-vixmount" failed to load CellID: Fetching server list from CSDS. . . fixme:process:SetProcessShutdownParameters

(Some) HL2 games won't start but HL2 will.
Hi. I recently moved over my old home directory to a new box. The old one was running a some very old version of wine on Ubuntu 10.04 that I actually hadn't run in quite some time. The new one is a Debian squeeze with squeeze backports enabled. The new PC is running wine 1.4. The graphics card in the old one was an Nvidia 9600 GT. The CPU was an AMD Athlon 64x2. The monitor was

Sudden Failure of All Games
Most notably, Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike Source, in addition to Homeworld 2, all ran perfectly. I left for a while and returned. Now I get a strange error, as the games still work, but refuse to stay on the screen. It's like they fight for a while witht he operating system, then run fine in my taskbar. Here is the full log: Code: ;; This buffer is for notes you don't want to save,

No sound in HOMEFRONT
I just installed Homefront. The installation went fine. I looked up AppDB entry on it and it looks like the other person rated it silver (albeit he's running Mac OS), with some annoying mouse bug. He did winetricks directx9 directsound physx. I did nothing of those and it still worked. Anyway, when I run the game, there's no music/sound in the menu. Then I started a new campaign, and the

[PATCH 2/3] Add generic facility to override HID report descriptor in usbhid-ups
Some UPSes contain HID report descriptors that fail to correctly describe the contents of reports. For example, the OpenUPS descriptor fails to set the units, logical maximum and logical minimum before the corresponding `main item' as required by the HID specification. This commit allows an override HID report descriptor to be given to usbhid-ups which replaces the one produced by the UPS,

black ops multi : mouse buttons inactive
Hello there, i have a weird problem with Black ops : when i launch a multi-players session, the game menu shows up, sound works, but clicking the menu items is no-op. :( Launching a single player game, OTOH, is even worse : game freezes when displaying the "click to start" welcome message. :( In both cases I have to kill wine from the terminal to exit. It happens both in fullscreen

wine-1.3.27 - breaks civ5 - ArchLinux (64bit)
Hi wine-1.3.26 played civ5 fine - I could install and play the steam version out the box (i.e I needed not to install any other components) When I install 1.3.27 I am not able to load civ5 from steam, wine crashes and I have to manually kill the process. Downgrading to wine 1.3.26 I can play again fine. Athlon64-X2 Nvidia geforce 450 GTS Arch linux 64 (using the 32bit wine version) If it

new TSSHARA SOHO II ups
Hi all, My name is Sergio Penen and I'd like to contribute to the project by developing a new driver for TS SHARA SOHO II usb ups. I'm almost done decoding the protocol and already have some basic functionality working with NUT. However I've some doubts on how to integrate this driver with NUT and I wonder if you could give me some guidance in that sense. To be more specific: In order
