libc++ cross-compile linux-armv7 and math function problems
Hello, I am trying to cross-compile libc++ from my x86_64 linux system to armv7hf. We have our own gcc compiler that we build with crosstools-ng (based on gcc 6.3.0) and I set my environment like this: CC=armv7a-plex-linux-gnueabihf-gcc CXX=armv7a-plex-linux-gnueabihf-g++ CFLAGS=-fPIC -DPIC -mfloat-abi=hard -march=armv7-a -Os -mfpu=vfpv3-d16 --sysroot=<path> CXXFLAGS=-fPIC -DPIC

libc++ cross-compile linux-armv7 and math function problems
At first glance, it looks like long double functions (such as fabsl and friends) are missing from your sysroot's <math.h>. Does your target support long double at all? -Dimitry > On 6 Feb 2018, at 09:51, Tobias Hieta via llvm-dev <llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org> wrote: > > Hello, > > I am trying to cross-compile libc++ from my x86_64 linux system to armv7hf. libc++ cross-compile linux-armv7 and math function problems
Hello Dimitry and thanks for your answer. I am pretty sure it does indeed support long double. It's configured with vfpv3-d16 - but I noticed that c++config.h in gcc has _GLIBCXX__HAS_FABSL and friends are undefined. I think I need to look deeper at the configuration of our toolchain. long double support is required in libc++ then I gather? -- Tobias On Tue, Feb 6, 2018 at 11:47 AM,

Failed to configure LLVM for use with Musl
I want to build LLVM-based toolchain with Musl, I have LLVM sources with clang and lld (under `tools` directory) and libunwind, compiler-rt, libcxx and libcxxabi (under `projects` directory). All are the latest versions cloned from GitHub mirror, branch `master`. I'm trying to configure with the following options: CLANG_DEFAULT_CXX_STDLIB = libc++ CLANG_DEFAULT_RTLIB = compiler-rt

[LLVMdev] Can libc++ build for arm cross compiler?
Hi cschen, It seems that libunwind (the one included in libcxxabi) is mandatory at the moment. Use the second build command instead: $ CROSS_COMPILING=arm ENABLE_LIBUNWIND=1 ./scripts/compile-all.sh Logan On Tue, Oct 7, 2014 at 5:32 PM, gamma_chen <gamma_chen at yahoo.com.tw> wrote: > After do "sudo apt-get update", the following are pass. > > Install the

Building LLVM with LLVM
Hi folks! I'm trying to build LLVM with LLVM on Ubuntu using the commands below. Building it with the GNU stuff (cpp, gcc, g++ and binutils packages) works, but after removing it, moving LLVM to /usr/local and symlinking /usr/bin/ld to ld.lld, I'm getting the following: === snip === -- The C compiler identification is Clang 8.0.1 -- The CXX compiler identification is Clang 8.0.1 -- The

libcxx build error.
Hi, I am trying to build llvm 3.4.2 on Centos 6.6. I am getting this below build error , while building the libcxx. I followed the build procedure based of http://clang.llvm.org/get_started.html. I cannot move to a higher version, Since we need to develop on CentOS 6.6 and LLVM 3.4.2 ,is the last version that supports gcc 3.4.2. Starting from LLVM 3.5.0, there has been a huge jump to gcc 4.7.0.

llvm build failed while Linking CXX shared library ../../../lib/libc++.so
Hi Dimitry, I do not particularly need to build libc++ from the package. Is the name of the package's libc++, libcxx, because this is where the installation starts finding undefined references, during linking CXX shared library ../../../lib/libc++.so. Please check below the first part of the log when the first error appear, I omited repeating results. Furthermore, the undefined references are

llvm build failed while Linking CXX shared library ../../../lib/libc++.so
Hi Ioannis, Just delete the projects/libcxx directory, then rebuild from scratch. You should only need to checkout llvm (in the top level directory) and cfe (into the tools/clang subdirectory). -Dimitry > On 29 Mar 2016, at 00:08, Ioannis Koukoulis <i.g.koukoulis at gmail.com> wrote: > > Hi Dimitry, > > I do not particularly need to build libc++ from the package. llvm build failed while Linking CXX shared library ../../../lib/libc++.so
Hi Dimitry, this definitely worked. I am passed by the linking errors regarding libc++ or similar. My build stopped now at 95% while linking a clang extra, I am not pretty sure which because i do not have my laptop, possible the clang-rename, if such exists. No undefined references here, however, my hdd's free space run out, so this might be the cause. I have to move or expand now, alas!! The

llvm build failed while Linking CXX shared library ../../../lib/libc++.so
Hello everybody, I am very new to llvm and I am struggling to install it on my 15.10 Xubuntu with kernel 4.2.0-34-generic #39-Ubuntu SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux. I essentially intend to use the clang static analyzer, but it seems that I have to build it on top of llvm and clang. Unfortunately I run into the following problem. CXX shared library ../../../lib/libc++.so at around 52% of the procedure

llvm build failed while Linking CXX shared library ../../../lib/libc++.so
Hi Ioannis, If you only want the clang static analyzer, there is no need to check out and build libc++ as part of the process. The rest of the build can just use the system C++ library, which will be libstdc++ on Xubuntu. That said, without the full build log, it is hard to say what went wrong. Specifically, which references were undefined? -Dimitry > On 26 Mar 2016, at 16:04, Ioannis
