Problems with viewing my calendar
Hey dudes, i''m trying to build a small calendar into my app. I follow the steps shown in http://railscasts.com/episodes/213-calendars, so i go with the table_builder gem, which allows to use the calendar_for command. But unfortunately it doesnt work or rather show the results in my view-template. I even got no error-message. It only shows this: (twice!!?!) Calendar < March 2011 >

Best way to run hundreds of concurrent tasks?
Hi all, I''m trying to figure out to run some asynchronous tasks in a Facebook app. I''ve got things working, but BRB crashes after a little while, and I''m not sure if my setup is ideal. Here''s the scenario: - whenever a user visits my app, I need to fire off a bunch of API calls. - these calls need to start right away, because the user sees a

question about how to set up an active record adapter to prefer use of prepared statements...
Hi, I am writing an active record adapter for our new database and when I run the tests I see lots of statements that could be run as prepared statements, but instead of passing me bindings AR passes me a fully specialized SQL string, not in all cases, but in many. Here is an example: SELECT addrs.* FROM addrs WHERE addrs.user_id = 153 FETCH FIRST 1 ROWS ONLY I do have this hook set up:

FW: Multi-Level Fallbacks
Hi, I have used the SVN icecast-2.1-trunk version in my production system at http://audioserver.nl for 2 months now without problems. The fallbacks work fine as long as you make sure that the format (sampling frequency and bitrate) of the mount and it's fallback match. I have also patched the icecast-2.1-trunk version (patch not published yet, needs work to extract) to enable fallback of

model-controller-paradigm: What about admin controllers?
Hi all We all know the model-controller-paradigm: I have a model "News" which has a corresponding CRUD-controller "NewsController". But now I''m quite unsure about the following... Guess we have normal visitors that visit our site www.??.com/news and we have administrators that create and modify news items. The admin should see an "Edit" link and a

Asterisk Multi Tenant setup
After a lot of hours I'm getting close to finishing up a multi tenant interface to asterisk based on the static database. I could use a bit of help in one area if someone would like to contribute. The code will be released under the bsd license. Right now the only part that is not done is the context parsing for dial commands, and of course further testing to weed out bugs. What I need is a

install totaly messed up
I have just moved to a new server and transfered all my files over etc and also installed wine using yum, however I had a script on my site that used wine (via exec command) that no longer worked after the transfer to the new server. I tried a few things on the server thinking it was a problem with current setup but got nowhere, I then uninstalled wine via "yum erase wine" and

FW: Multi-Level Fallbacks
Do you mean you can relay within a single icecast server instance? So the relay is running on the same icecast process from which it is relaying a stream? virtual resources in 0.23.2, do they work?
Hello all. I am using the munin module for a while now, I think that after the upgrade to puppet and puppetmaster 0.23.2 (or 0.23.1) it simply stopped working. Were there any changes to the realizing and exporting of resources? What could prevent this module from stopping to work. What happenes is that new hosts (munin::client nodes) do get stored in the database, but the munin::host does not

[threadsafe] Arel ToSql visitor is not threadsafe
Hey, We hit a bug today because Arel::Visitors::ToSql is not threadsafe. Here is what is happening: Arel::Visitors::ENGINE_VISITORS is a cache of visitors instances. These instances are not inherently threadsafe because it contains state ''@last_column'', ''@connection'' that is shared between threads. The other variables ''@pool'',

Request suitability comments
Hello: I'm trying to find a search tool for a website I am planning. The many CMS packages I've tried fall short when it comes to configurable search modules. I'd appreciate comments/suggestions on the suitability of Xapian given the following: a) the web site under development will have upwards of 1500 URL links to other Internet locations. b) each URL will have --

W2k no longer has Trust to samba pdc
SMB.conf, smbpasswd, log files attached to this message. I have several W2k Workstations, with a SAMBA 2.2.3 PDC. Looking at the logs it seems that stevedallas (W2K client) is getting validation errors as "visitor" (which DOES exist...) I am not sure what happened, but I must have removed all of the important parts of the server validation. OUTLAND is domain, W2k/ clients are

A "Java Backend"
I thought about something like that but I think it's not a good idea. Like writing an AST visitor on Clang for example would be cool but it isn't open to other frontends, and I think that this is a job for LLVM. What about java-* attributes that can be put on certain IR operations to indicate structures that are needed to know about the Java Bytecode structure, or operations that should be

stupid user tricks with ices2: "No such file or directory" :P
Michael and Karl, Thanks for your replies. Sorry for confusing you with bad test info. The contents of playlist.txtthat I referred to in my earlier email did not match the log result I specified. However, I had ran the test with both a full and relative path in playlist.txt; "/home/john/Visitors.ogg" and "Visitors.ogg". Got it working, however. Tried playing a different ogg
