error in installing igraph
Hi R users, I got warning messages when installing the package, and I pasted the messages below. I checked updates that my R-studio is already the newest version. I don't know how to solve the problem. Thanks for your help. > library(igraph) Error in dyn.load(file, DLLpath = DLLpath, ...) : unable to load shared object

R and igraph problems
I have R 2.15.0 running under Windows 7. I installed the igraph 0.5.4 package from a zip file. When I attempt to load igraph using "library(igraph)", I get the error package igraph is not installed for arch=x64.  When I repeat this using the 32-bit version of R, I get the same basic error but with "arch=i386" instead of x64. Nash equilibrium and other game theory tools implemented in networks using igraph or similar
There are many possible responses to the question "Is there a package to do X." Some that I can imagine are: * Yes, see package Y... * No, I am familiar with all 10000 packages and there isn't... * Silence (because no one who is paying attention is familiar with the one that exists) * Use a search engine... * You are a jerk because you did not use a search engine * Packages exist

Nash equilibrium and other game theory tools implemented in networks using igraph or similar
Thanks I too wondered about the tone. The first suggestion was that I should "google it" and the second, write my own code. I think if I did I'd be reinventing the wheel, (and it'd be a big challenge for me). Also, I have been searching and not found such code, despite evidence that it has been coded (just not sure if it was in R). BTW I did write to authors of the article I

Cannot install the 'igraph' package
Hi! I want to use R for network analysis and have tried to install the 'igraph' package. Unfortunately, the installation is aborted by an error: --snip-- gcc -std=gnu99 -I/usr/lib64/R/include -DNDEBUG -I/usr/local/include -DUSING_R -I. -Ics -Iglpk -Iglpk/amd -Iglpk/colamd -I/usr/local/include -fmessage-length=0 -O2 -Wall -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fstack-protector -funwind-tables

igraph
Hello... I am a system engeenering student and I am using R for first time for Graph Theory. I would like to know if there is anyway you can plot an ghaph (igraph library) and obtain a graph whose vertices dont appear identified with number, instead I would like the vertices to be identified with letters or words, names... is there anyway I can do this? Thanks in Advance for your

igraph: error when setting size and shape of vertices
When the shape of all vertices is set to "square" and the size of the vertices is also set, one get following error (commands attached): Error in l[[which.min(sapply(l, function(p) (p[1] - x0)^2 + (p[2] - y0)^2))]] : attempt to select less than one element Is there a way to solve this problem? Trouble compiling igraph. . .
Been and R-user for about 5 years now in an industrial setting, and always find the mailing list most helpful. I have run into problem compiling igraph on R. I have contacted the maintainer of igraph, and he has determined that it is not an igraph problem. System is FreeBSD 7.2, R-2.10.1 [also have a sandbox machine running FreeBSD 7.3, R-2.11]. Both machines fail the installation of igraph.

loading igraph package on Solaris
Hello, I'm having trouble getting the igraph package to load on Solaris. I can get igraph to compile and install from a local directory without issues using simply "R CMD INSTALL igraph", however "library(igraph)" from within R gives the following errors: Error in dyn.load(x, as.logical(local), as.logical(now)) : unable to load shared library

function: ploting an igraph object within lattice
Hi, I would like to be able to develop a function to plot an igraph object with lattice (trellis type displays will be usefull for grouping etc). Anyway, I mostly feeble Igraph requires that you convert two columns of data two an igraph object and to be able to plot the graph...I have tried a very, very simplistic (if not naive) approach and surprise, surprise, it didn't work. First of all,

I responded to the unhelpful suggestion "Why don't you implement and uplad the package to CRAN?" No mention of a search engine. igraph: decompose.graph: Error: protect(): protection stack overflow
I just got this error: > library(igraph) > comp <- decompose.graph(gr) Error: protect(): protection stack overflow Error: protect(): protection stack overflow > what can I do? the digraph is, indeed, large (300,000 vertexes), but there are very many very small components (which I would rather not discard). PS. the doc for decompose.graph does not say which mode is the default. --

igraph package, version 0.5
igraph is a package for graphs and networks. It has a C core and uses a simple and fast graph representation allowing millions of vertices and edges. NEW FEATURES: - We use the ARPACK library for graph related eigenvalue problems, like Page Rank calculation, Kleinberg's hub and authority scores, eigenvector centrality, etc. There is also a generic interface if someone wants to use
