How to get CI from surfit object in survival
Dear Bert, thank you for suggestion. I am aware of R-help function. I must apologize, my earlier question could lead to assumptions otherwise. As you can see below, I only get Std. error but not lower and Upper CIs. I was wondering if there is another argument or method, could give CIs which I cannot find anywhere. Thanks Adrian > Nsurv <-

How to get CI from surfit object in survival
??? Both ?survit.object (linked in the see also section of ?survfit) and ?summary.survfit give you this information. Do you not know how to use R's help faciities -- in which case you should learn them now; see ?help -- or have I misunderstood your query? Cheers, Bert Bert Gunter "The trouble with having an open mind is that people keep coming along and sticking things into it."

How to get CI from surfit object in survival
Did you not notice the conf.type = "none" argument to your survfit call and the associated documentation in the survfit help? -- Bert Bert Gunter "The trouble with having an open mind is that people keep coming along and sticking things into it." -- Opus (aka Berkeley Breathed in his "Bloom County" comic strip ) On Sat, Aug 26, 2017 at 5:18 PM, Adrian Johnson

survit function and cox model with frailty
Hi: I have a question about the use of the survfit function after the estimation of a cox proportional hazard model with a frailty term. My goal is to estimate expected survival probabilities while controlling for the group-specific frailty term. First, I estimate a model of the following form: model1 <- coxph(Surv(t0, t, d) ~ x1 + x2 + frailty(id), na.action=na.exclude,

Creating data frame from individual files
Dear Group: I have 72 files (.txt). Each file has 2 columns and column 1 is always identical for all 70 files. Each file has 90,799 rows and is standard across all files. I want to create a matrix 40(rows) x 70 columns. I tried : temp = list.files(pattern="*.txt") named.list <- lapply(temp, read.delim) library(data.table) files.matrix <-rbindlist(named.list) >

Polycom Spectralink 8002 Configuration
I have a new Polycom Spectralink 8002 and am having trouble with the configuration or the unit but I can't see what's wrong. The unit does not seem to even attempt to register with the Asterisk proxy but I can make calls to it. I have viewed the syslog from the device which it will actually write to the asterisk server so I know it can be reached. I have also run a sip debug and

test for proportion or concordance
Hello group, my question is deciding what test would be appropriate for following question. An experiment 'A' yielded 3200 observations of which 431 are significant. Similarly, using same method, another experiment 'B' on a different population yielded 2541 observations of which 260 are significant. There are 180 observations that are common between significant observations of A

help with creating a box plot
Hi: I am looking for some help in making two boxplots next to each other. I have a data like this: N1 T1 N2 T2 N3 T3 N4 T4 ... Nn Tn 7 8.2 4 5 8 10 4 5 ..... 10 11 I want to have box plot for all Normal samples (N1,N2,N3,N4,,,,Nn) and another box plot for all tumors (T1,T2,T3,T4,...Tn). I have data in a numeric class. If data is represented as N1

Converting a data frame to matrix
Hello: I have a tab delim file with 100 rows and 100 columns. I have numerical values in this table. What I want is to create an image color map with color gradation. my values range from -5 to 0. max value is 0. to acheive this, I need to convert my data.frame into matrix. I tried following : mydf <- read.table('mytable',sep='\t',header=T) mydf1 <- mydf[,2:100]

Kaplan-Meier plotting quirks
Better would be to use interval censored data. Create your data set so that you have (time1, time2) pairs, each of which describes the interval of time over which the tag was lost. So an animal first captured at time 10 sans tag would be (0,10); with tag at 5 and without at 20 would be (5,20), and last seen with tag at 30 would be (30, NA). Then survit(Surv(time1, time2,

CI from svyquantile in survey package
I am having trouble understanding (i.e. getting) confidence intervals from the survey package. I am using R version 2.8.1 (2008-12-22) and survey package (3.11-2) on FC7 linux. To simplify my question I use an example from that package: R> data(api) R> dclus1<-svydesign(id=~dnum, weights=~pw, data=apiclus1, fpc=~fpc) R> (tst <- svyby(~api99, ~stype,

Authentication failing - Ant Internet Suite (Risc-OS)
Switched to using dovecot for POP3, PLAIN login. One client with "Ant Internet Suite" can't use the service with this client, he used the same setting with another email client and it worked. On inspection of the packets, it is sending one packet with; "user username\r\npass password\r\nstat\r\n" Dovecot sends an "-ERR Unknown command", then a "+OK

More info from mail_log plugin
HiWe need to track exactly when our users read messages. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure out how we can achieve this with Dovecot. Then I saw the mail_log plugin. Is it possible to extend the plugin to also log system flag changes? This would be great, because then we could see in the log files when the Seen flag has been set. Changes in user defined flags would also be interesting

need some help about using R for Kaplan-Meier estimator
Hi Fello: I am asked to compute the Kaplan-Meier estimator of data with right censoring without using surfit(). Does anyone know how to use R to compute the estimators? The data should input X: vector of right-censored observed time for n individuals, and d: vector of failure time indicators (0=censored individual;1=unconsored individual) and the function should return with t: vector of sorted

Specifying ui and ci such that ui %*% theta - ci >= 0
Hi, I am a bit stuck on specifying ui and ci. I have read Lange's book ((1999) Numerical Analysis for Statisticians) to his approach and unfortunately his descriptions were not helpful for me. Here is what I have: ui <- rbind(c(0, -1, 0), c(0, 0, -1)) ci <- c(0, -1, -1)) theta <- c(0.5, 0.5, 0.1) My goal is to feed these into constrOptim

ANNOUNCE: supermin & libguestfs CI on ci.centos.org
Hi, I'm proud to say that now we've got a CI for supermin and libguestfs available: https://ci.centos.org/view/libguestfs/ We have three jobs that currently runs every night: - supermin: builds supermin from git master, and runs the test suite - libguestfs: builds libguestfs from git master using the supermin built earlier, and runs the test suite; this is only triggered if the
