I tried to use package DPpackage on my data, but I encountered some problems in interpreting ouputs. Can anybody help me? The problem can be remued as follows: I have a logit hierarchical model for survival (i.e. binary response) in patients affected by heart failure (the court

effective df in local polinomial regression
Hallo R-users, I would like to know if there is a way to get the effective degrees of freedom in local polinomial regression. At the moment, to carry out the local polinomial regression, I am using the function locpoly() in library KernSmooth (I need to estimate both the regression function and its derivatives, up to the 3rd one). Thanks, Simone -- Simone Vantini MOX - Modeling and

Xen4, remus and LVM questions
Hello I successfully upgraded to xen 4.0 on my Gentoo servers and I''m trying to use remus to enhance servers'' HA. first of all: I''ve tried remus with --no-net option just to test and it works fine, if I try to run it without that option it just stops claiming that no sch_queue module can be loaded. That module is present in xen 4.0 source tree, but my gentoo seems not

Tierra games...
Hi, I found these remakes of old Sierra games at http://www.tierraentertainment.com/ They run on an windows adventure game engine AGS found at http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk Due to the engine author's reclutance for helping linux people, the only solutions seems to be using wine to get these ancient-but-excellent games running. So far they have made King's Quest 1 VGA and

Hello, Using asterisk-1.2.1 I am trying to convert my music-on-hold files from .wav to alaw: % sox moh.wav -r 8000 -c 1 moh.al resample -ql The file sounds fine when listened with: % sox mox.al -t ossdsp /dev/dsp But when listened through asterisk with an alaw SIP phone the sound is clicky and too fast. Did I forget something in my conversion command? -- ldm@apartia.fr

Problems with power management xen 3.4
I''ve a problem with managing power consumption on Intel Nehalem CPU. I''ve installed Xen 3.4 on our Dell PowerEdge T610 system on a Ubuntu 9.04 distribution. I recompiled the kernel 2.6.30rc5. Now I can see the c-states of the CPUs but no access to P-states information and the frequency scaling does not work. By the way, if I run the kernel 2.6.28.13 which is the last one

File Extension .OGG
Hi, I've already sent this to feedback@vorbis.com, but I got no response and this might be more correctly placed here anyway, so here is a revised vesrion. I have one thing to criticize, which is the file extension *.OGG. It's ambigous (the Netrek meaning) and using it for both video and audio seems confusing. Plus, there are a lot of OGG files floating around that are generated by

[R-pkgs] bpcp package for pointwise confidence intervals for a survival distribution
Hi all, I just uploaded a new version of the bpcp package. It calculates confidence intervals for a survival distribution for right-censored data using the newly developed beta product confidence procedure. Previously developed methods can have substantial error rate inflation for the lower limit, especially at the right end of the curves when there are small numbers of events. The bpcp method
