You probably have not reset the directory -- go to the session tab on the R window, click and go to ?set working directory? as C Nick -------- Original Message ---------- From: WRAY NICHOLAS <nicholas.wray at ntlworld.com> To: Jason Hernandez <jason.hernandez74 at yahoo.com> Date: 24 April 2016 at 21:44 Subject: Re: [R] Using read.csv() to import data You probably have not reset

suggestion to fix packageDescription() for Windows users
I'd be curious to know what others think of Rich's patch. If it is acceptable, I can spend time that I was going to look at it this week on another bug. -----Original Message----- From: Rich Calaway Sent: Friday, June 23, 2017 6:34 PM To: Nathan Sosnovske <nsosnov at microsoft.com>; Duncan Murdoch <murdoch.duncan at gmail.com>; Andrie de Vries <apdevries at gmail.com>

suggestion to fix packageDescription() for Windows users
Hi Duncan, I'm guessing I'll be able to look at this over the weekend/next week (probably closer to next week). It is on my list of things to do and I've just had a few other prior commitments that I have to finish first. Sorry for the delay. I'll chime in with a status update next week. Question about R developpment
I would describe MRO as a distribution of R, in the same way that Fedora, Debian, SUSE etc are distributions of Linux. It is not fundamentally different from the version of R that you can download from CRAN but the binary builds offer some specific features: 1) The binary build is linked to the Intel Math Kernel Library (MKL) which may increase the speed of some matrix operations 2) Packages are

With the help of Andrie on StackOverflow.com, I was able to learn about ddply. I have another question that is more trivial and cannot seem to find help on IRC and do not want to bother Andrie again. I can't seem to figure out what to google for, so I thought I'd ask here. I have: library(plyr) df_diff <- ddply(df, .(SOURCE), summarize, TIME_DIFF=-unclass(diff(REQUEST_DATE))) df_diff

possible to impose limit on R's use of resources?
When I run some large optimizations in R under Windows it puts a heavy load on the CPU, which makes other applications that run at the same time very slow. Is it possible to instruct R to be less aggressive in its use of computer resources, so I can use my computer for other purposes while running R (probably considerably slower) in the background? ggplot rank stack bar automatically.
Hi, all, I am currently trying to learn this example. http://learnr.wordpress.com/2009/03/17/ggplot2-barplots/ I created the stack bar easily. If I would like to rank the stack bar from the highest on the right, shortest on the left and eventually I could show the data "1991-00" on the left and "1823-30" on the right, how could I do that? Apart from this, I find

[FileCheck] Fix --strict-whitespace --match-full-lines
Hi, this patch fixes a problem with leading/trailing whitespace matching for FileCheck --strict-whitespace --match-full-lines. Consider a text file: ... $ cat DUMP bla1 bla2 bla3 bla4 bla5 ... with some leading and trailing spaces, made more visible like this: ... $ sed 's/ /_/g' DUMP bla1 bla2 _bla3 bla4_ _bla5_ ... and a FileCheck file CHECK to match DUMP: ... $ cat CHECK //

Virtio-win RPM?
I should have this in my head by now... I tried migrating a physical Windows host last night using virt-p2v CD. It ran for 3 hours and then died. I'll get details later from the log but as I think about it, I'll bet it died because I never installed virtio-win in my Fedora migration server. The documentation says do "yum install virtio-win" - but this is RHEL
