Hi,
this patch fixes a build error during cross compilation to a system without
the libz target package:

UW-IMAP style mbox snarfing from /var/mail/ to ~/mbox
http://dovecot.org/patches/mbox-snarf-plugin.c
Also committed to CVS HEAD.
Usage:
mail_location = mbox:~/mail:INBOX=/var/mail/%u
protocol imap {
mail_plugins = mbox_snarf
}
protocol pop3 {
mail_plugins = mbox_snarf
}
plugin {
mbox_snarf = ~/mbox
}
If ~/mbox doesn't exist, nothing special is done.
If ~/mbox exists, it's treated as INBOX and mails are moved
from /var/mail/%u

Dovecot 1.0.3: mbox problems for newly created users
Hi,
I am having problems with Dovecot 1.0.3 and Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 when
using a new user account without any mbox files present.
Directory /home/$user/.imap_mail/ does not exist when Thunderbird first
tries to login using IMAP to the account. On login this directory is
created with a zero byte Trash file and .subscriptions containing string
"Trash", so far, so good.
Now I create a

UDMA2.SYS author now worked around it, it seems you do something with "DPTE" in isolinux.asm but not using it (probably for memdisk or direct floppy/harddisk emulation?).
also something about EDD v1.1 and v3.0 specifications and setting bits to 1.
Anyway, the driver works now on:

Building dovecot 2.2.33.2 is broken with uclibc-ng
Hi,
this commit
https://github.com/dovecot/core/commit/c9d76e2baf653fa5504d6849e5c1aae32eff3c53
added code which can not be compiled with uclibc-ng 1.0.26 using buildroot:

some issues with modules/syslinux
Dear Syslinux bootloader list,
I'm running into a few issues concerning Syslinux modules here, hoping
you can answer one or more of the following questions:
* Where's "ifmemdsk.c32" ? 4.05, 4.06pre1 and latest 4.10pre seem to
lack it. Only the "ifmemdsk.c" file, which is likely sourcecode. Not
seeing any "ifmemdsk.cbt" legacy comboot module.

Hi Jeff,
adding these four lines fixes the build error, thanks!

snapshot with libvirt tools or with lvm tools ?
Hi,
i asked already a time ago about snapshots. I have some guests, each resides in a raw file, placed on an ext3 fs which is on top of a logical volume, for each guest a dedicated lv.
The raw is not a "must have", if there are obvious reasons i can convert them to a qcow2.
What i want is a consistent backup of each guest taken overnight. If possible i won't have downtime.
I can use

domain still running although snapshot-file is deleted !?!
Hi,
i have a strange situation:
A domain is still running where domblklist points to a snapshot file and also dumpxml says the current drive is that snapshot file.
But the file has been deleted hours ago. And the domain is still running. I can login via ssh, the database and the webserver are still running,
domain is performant.
How can that be ?
Also lsof shows that the file is deleted:

I have an application/program which shows 'bios EDD error' when using Isolinux
(with either loading an image directly through MEMDISK, or booting to A:), and not when using a bootdisk directly or booting a bootdisk directly which has SYSLINUX on it.
configuration:
bootable cdrom with Isolinux 2.11/2.12pre9 as bootloader.

Dovecot raw backtrace when copying to folder
Seeing a problem with a certain user causing dovecot to crash when copying
mail to a folder. This looks similar to a bug someone on the mailing list
posted recently.
Since the backtrace mentions the index, I tried deleting all of the index
files for the user (including subfolders) but it had no effect. Seems that
the bug still happens when creating the index for the first time.

is it possible to create a snapshot from a guest residing in a plain partition ?
Hi,
i can store the disk of a guest in a plain partition which isn't formatted.
That's no problem, i did it already several times, although the promised speed increase didn't appear.
But is it possible to create from such a guest a snapshot in a .sn file using virsh ?

Bernd

does the guest have a snapshot ?
Hi,
i'm cuurently a bit confused if a guest does have a valid snapshot or not.
This is the xml:

<source file='/var/lib/libvirt/images/crispor_1604/crispor_1604.sn'/>

snapshot of running vm's
Hi,
i'd like to create snapshots of my running vm's. I have several hosts with
SLES11 SP4 64bit. I use libvirt 1.2.5-7.1 . VM's are Windows 7, SLES,
Ubuntu, Opensuse.
I use raw files for the vm's.
I try to orientate myself by
http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Live-disk-backup-with-active-blockcommit .
The hosts are backuped every night by a network based backup solution
(Legato).

snapshots with virsh in a pacemaker cluster
Hi,
i have a two node cluster with virtual guests as resources.
I'd like to snapshot the guests once in the night and thought i had a procedure.
But i realize that things in a cluster are a bit more complicated than expected :-))
I will shutdown the guests to have a clean snapshot.
I can shutdown the guests via pacemaker.
But then arises the first problem:
When i issue a "virsh
