multiple shared/mail format namespaces
Yeah, that's valid configuration. As long as they have unique prefix.

Fatal: All your namespaces have a location setting.
Hello,
I am trying to setup dovecot sync between 2 servers and come up with this error:
Fatal: All your namespaces have a location setting. It should be empty (default mail_location) in the namespace to be converted.
i am stuck with this as i cannot find any resolution on the web, here are my config details:
doveconf -n
# 2.1.7: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf

multiple shared/mail format namespaces
Hi,
Are configurations (with separate formats per namespace) - such as ...
namespace {

list = children
inbox = no
separator = /
subscriptions = no
prefix = shared1/%%n/
location = maildir:/var/mail1/%%n/
}
namespace {
type = shared

UW-IMAP migration to namespaces
Hello,
I am trying to migrate existing UW-IMAP installation to dovecot 1.1.14
and I am having troubles with namespaces.
As you know UW-IMAP allows full system access to home directory of a
user and you can set up dovecot to do that as well, but I would like to
use namespaces.
If I set my namespaces like this:
namespace private {
separator = /
prefix =
inbox = yes
location =

[LLVMdev] LLVM,metadata for namespaces
yes.I have in each namespace at least one function.And I call these
functions later.
What I tried to do is to take module scope iterate all namespaces defined in
it and call createNameSpace for each of them.
When debugging I see that the namespaces are generated ,but in IR file there
is no debug information for namespaces
Also I tried to generate debug information for namespaces ,while treating

Basic namespaces question
I can't find a generalised "What the heck are namespaces all about?" anywhere, can anyone point me to a decent one?
More directly, my question is this: if I set up two non-hidden private namespaces (one for mbox and one for maildir), will a well-written IMAP client automagically list folders from both as if they were part of (or below) the same hierarchy, or do I have to set up two

Why are system-namespaces not copied?
Hi,
the man page states
For systems that support extended-attribute namespaces, a copy being
done by a super-user copies all namespaces except system.*.
That's the reason why NFAv4 ACLs are not copied as they are in the
system.nfs4_acl (or system.nfs4acl) namespace.
Why are those namespaces excluded?
Not being able rsync ACLs von NFSv4 is a major drawback now that
NFsv4 becomes

Namespaces and shared folders
I had a working dovecot install before I tried to implement shared folders
using namespaces.
I added the following to /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf:
namespace private {
separator =
prefix =
inbox = yes
}
namespace public {
separator = /
prefix =
location = maildir:/home/public/shared/Maildir
}
</pre>
I created my shared folder using the maildirmake

Controllers and Namespaces (no problem, just questions)
I''m a little late on finding this article:
http://habtm.com/articles/2006/07/01/if-your-models-arent-namespaced-why-should-your-controllers-be-or-how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-the-crud
This idea does not sit well with me and am curious as to the Rails roadmap.
I''ve seen a couple things demonstrated in examples (Rails Book, api) that
later turn to become deprecated. As

Can't figure out how to put wineprefixes on an NTFS drive
Hi,
I'm still a bit new to Linux and Wine, so please bear with me if this is a stupid question.
I've been putting all my windows applications in their own wineprefixes, and now I thought I'd put some of them in my data partition, because there's always lots of free space there and many of my games take a lot of space.
But when I try to create a new wineprefix on my data

Problem with namespaces
[1.1.4 with http://hg.dovecot.org/dovecot-1.1/rev/b61424a50786 applied]
I'm trying to use namespaces as described here for UW-IMAP compatibility:
http://wiki.dovecot.org/Namespaces
But I'm getting a problem with the hidden namespaces showing up in the
LIST output. Here is a simplified transcript.
The ~/Mail folder contains just two folders. The config given to imapd
is as follows:

Struggling with namespaces...
Hi all,
I've been using dovecot 0.99x as a basic POP3/IMAP server at a couple of
sites for a few months now and am very happy with it's simplicity,
stability and performance, especially over the rather 'clunky' courier
and the mammoth cyrus.
I'm building up a top level mail server for our organisation and am
desperate to use dovecot in there but I'm really struggling with

namespaces and S4 methods/classes
The current version of the methods package now has a namespace. Packages
using S4 methods and classes can have NAMESPACE files. New directives
can be included in NAMESPACE files to import and export classes and
methods.
Namespaces allow cleaner definition of the API for packages, and are
needed for future improvements to R.
NOTE: This is a major revision. In principle, it should be back

namespaces and saved objects
Hi,
While saving (function 'save') a 'lmList' object (pack nlme),
R issues the warning messages:
1: namespaces may not be available when loading
2: names in persistent strings are currently ignored
3: namespaces may not be available when loading
4: names in persistent strings are currently ignored
Any pitfall I should be aware of ?

Migration between namespaces breaks outlook on mac's
Hi there,
We're running dovecot 1.1 on one set of servers with a courier-imap-like
namespace configuration:
namespace private {
separator = .
prefix = INBOX.
inbox = yes
}
We're now migrating customers onto a dovecot-2 platform, switching from
Maildir to sdbox (using dsync mirror) & changing the namespace at the
same time. New namespace configuration looks like (as
