Sieve, shared folders, different daemons
Hi, In our dovecot setup we use 3 different config files. One for maildropping(sieve), one for dovecot/imap on standard ports with ssl config and one for dovecot/imap on standard ports+1 with a different ssl certificate. Currently the client using the standard port+1 config wants to make use of shared folders, but the thing is that the current namespace separator in all configs is '.'.

release open_disk error
Hello, I wonder what the "open error -1" / "release open_disk error" messages in sanlock.log actually mean. I saw these messages in the log on a KVM host that rebooted, and after running "/usr/sbin/virt-sanlock-cleanup" on that host. The resources where disks from 2 guests running on another KVM host. So in fact the disks are still in use, bot got cleaned up by

virsh attach-disk with cache=none and io=native for raw devices (online)
Hello, I see there is an option with virsh attach-disk to set the cache to "none" for raw devices, but I can't find how to attach the disk with io=native (needed for performance reasons). The goal is to attach a disk online, directly with the proper performance settings. I know I can set this in virt-manager, but then I have to restart the VM to apply the change, so this is an

Hi, I have tried to run half-life in linux with with wine. But there seams to be a problem with my graphics card. I can play games in linux with 3dfx support, but if I try to run half-life with wine it says that my graphics card doesn't support openGL. Does anyone know what I can do about this. I have got a Creative 3D Blaster Banshee. .^^.... $ecrets 2 $uccess Inc.

Half-Life(First Person Shooter) is using Speex
Martin Otten did most of the work to get Speex up and running for our games about a month ago, and we just recently released it to the Steam beta. So far it appears to be working pretty well, and we're interested in doing more work using Speex going forward. I'd love to hear any feedback that people have using it, especially at the different quality settings. The information on how it

masq rules for LVS
Hi, I need some special masq rules to allow internal servers to resolve public IP''s which are loadbalanced by LVS - the rule are: iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -m ipvs --vaddr <LVS PUBLIC IP>/32 --vport 80 -j SNAT --to-source <LVS INTERNAL IP> Also I need to enable: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/vs/conntrack Currently I do all this from /etc/shorewall/started - but is

adding servers to director_mail_servers
Is there a specific order in which one has to add servers to director_mail_servers, Let's say I have 20 loadbalanced director servers (I dont, but for arguments sake). I want to add 5 servers to director_mail_servers. If I do this by restarting each director server 1 by 1 with an updated conf, it seems the 5 new servers dont get added. Or at least I dont get what makes it work eventually.

Asterisk Realtime woes
I have configured asterisk realtime to work with two servers and a seperate MySQL DB. Each sip client registers which server it is connected to in the MySQL DB. This works great as long as the clients are 1. On the same network 2. Behind a NAT and connected to the same asterisk server as the caller. However I need this configuration to work for "NAT-ed" clients on different asterisk

Loadbalanced NFS as disk for VMs
Hi list, Is it possible to have NFS based load balancing and failover enabled storage without stacking switches? Or is this only doable with iSCSI and multipathd? I''m reading about XenServer and openvswitch, how multiple VMs would be able to use all physical links using SLB bonds, it works for networking but not for storage? (As the nfs share is mounted on dom0?) Using openvswitch

doveadm director status username != doveadm director status username@mailserver
Hi, I've almost finished my new director based setup, but in the first test I discovered that imap and lmtp connections were not always being proxied to the same server. After some research now I think that the main problem is that in imap connections users connect as 'username' while lmtp connections are as 'username at mailserver'. In my current setup I receive mail via

Master-Master replication question
Dear list, I have setup a master-master replication setup. My primairy MX's send email over on a DNS loadbalanced way, so DNS is doing some kind of round-robin way of sending mail to both master servers. I found out, that on one of the two machines, the email synchronisation is heavily delayed. Lets assume server A receives a mail from the MX; it synchronises almost instantly with the other
