CentOS9 Stream - boinc client??
I have been running boinc client on CentOS7 hosts for some years. C7 is
getting close to end of life. Time to upgrade to C9 ...
But I cannot find a package for the boinc client. "dnf search boinc"
returns nothing.
I have enabled both EPEL and RPMFusion repositories.
Is there a boinc client package for CentOS9 Stream?

BOINC
Hi list,
I've installed boinc-client and boinc-manager from epel.
After starting boinc-client with systemctl when I try to connect from
boincmgr I get "Unable to connect to boinc client".
I've added to unit file --allow_remote_gui_rpc
and on netstat I get:
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:31416 0.0.0.0:*
LISTEN 4762/boinc_client
On this machine there aren't

Centos 7 Install
I have a Centos 7 install that seems to be filling up disk space to 100% on
the root partition.
in /tmp I found files of names...
systemd-private-XXXXXXXX-colord and rtkit
I have never seen these files before.
there were also files of XXXXXXXXXXXXX.tmp in the /tmp folder.
Why are these files appearing? I have a number of installs and never came
across this before.
Thanks,
Jerry

voicemail use external smtp server for sendingmail
I had the same question, and I want to make sure I'm clear..... This
implies to me that Asterisk itself doesn't use SMTP, but rather dumps a
message into some directory that Sendmail on the same box will see and
process? I have no problem getting Sendmail to use a smarthost, but am
I understanding the Asterisk part of this properly, or is there a way to
get Asterisk to DIRECTLY use a

Up to date guide/information Sendmail SMTP Auth
Hello all,
I've been googling my brains out since yesterday looking for up-to-date
information on this matter, and have found information that is anywhere
from 15 to 5 years old. I'd really like some information that much more
up to date on the subject. Specifically configuring Sendmail SMTP
authentication (_no smart host stuff_).
I've got Sendmail 8.14 installed on a CentOS 7.3

OpenGL drivers haven't been installed correctly
The BOINC project has a screensaver that runs on Windows. I installed BOINC in a virtual machine running Windows XP (32 bit) and copied boinc.scr from the C:\Windows directory onto my 64 bit F13 system. When I run the screensaver I get an error. Any feedback is appreciated. I can run glxgears without any problem.
$ wine boinc.scr
Wine cannot find the ncurses library (libncurses.so.5).

Trouble setting up dovecot/postfix/mysql with virtual mailboxes..
Hi,
I?m building a new linux box to replace my current DNS/Mail server for my SOHO.
I was going to set up postfix/dovecot/mysql so I can support virtual users. I also use Webmin to make admin easier.
I ran in to a couple of snags.
When I first got it set up, mail went to the virtmail user and I could use my Mac mail client to read the mail.
Everything was working when testing it. I was
