problem with NT-4.0
Hello, we have a Linux box running Samba 2.2.7a and several clients running Windows NT 4 WS (last service pack) and Windows 95 (last service pack too). All clients are running a program made in ACU-Cobol for Windows and sometimes the NT machines abort the execution reporting a cobol blocking error. This usually results in broken indexes... We have traced the execution and haven't found the

Demoting issue in 4.2.0rc2
Dear list, I tried to replace the AD DC in my home network (all running samba-4.2.0rc2). I followed this procedure: - setup and join DC2 to the domain served by DC1 - transfer FSMO - demote and switch off DC1 and as there were still remnants of DC1 in the domain: - wipe out the traces of DC1 in ADUC. The first issue is, that not all the traces could be wiped out. ADUC refuses to do so while

CentOS5U2 waiting too long when ssh login to other linux servers
The waiting time is about 50s on my CentOS box now. "yum remove openssh* "and "yum install openssh*" can't make it right. "mv ~/.ssh{,.bak}" not works either. Here comes my tcpdump log, I am not an expert on SSH, Can anyone here get me out of this? Thanks Ryan [root at centos5u2 ~]# tcpdump -s 1520 -nn port 22 tcpdump: WARNING: peth0: no IPv4 address assigned

P2Vs seem to require a very robust Ethernet
Now that we can gather diagnostic info, I think I know why our P2Vs kept failing last week. Another one just died right in front of my eyes. I think either the Ethernet or NFS server at this site occasionally "blips" offline when it gets busy and that messes up P2V migrations. The RHEV export domain is an NFS share offered by an old Storagetek NAS, connected over a 10/100 Ethernet.

Problem using Lag on time series
I'm trying to duplicate something in Excel, where it is easy to reference the previous row in formula. Have been stuck on this for ages trying to achieve the same result in R. I've managed to do it with a loop but it takes ages on a large data set. What I want to do is create a new variable in a matrix that will refer to it's previous value if the ifelse statements aren't met.

samba-tool ntacl sysvolcheck and sysvolreset
On my small, one DC AD setup, where I just followed the wiki and did not (!) make any other changes except for working on the AD through the RSAT, I ran samba-tool ntacl sysvolcheck and got the following output: --------------------snip-------------------- ERROR(<class 'samba.provision.ProvisioningError'>): uncaught exception - ProvisioningError: DB ACL on GPO directory

[3.0.2] booster + unfsd failed
Hi list. I have been testing with glusterfs-3.0.2. glusterfs mount works well. unfsd on glusterfs mount point works well too. When using booster, unfsd realpath check failed. But ls util works well. I tried 3.0.0-git head source build but result was same. My System is Ubuntu 9.10 and using unfsd source from official gluster download site. Any comment appreciated!! - kpkim root at

Here's the bug and proposed patch. It's pretty trivial. https://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1856 Quoting RFC-2474: A replacement header field, called the DS field, is defined, which is intended to supersede the existing definitions of the IPv4 TOS octet [RFC791] and the IPv6 Traffic Class octet [IPv6].
