Hullo, There's a program called mp3gain which can be used to alter the volume of an MP3 file in 1.5 dB steps. I once heard somewhere (I can't remember *where*, but I swear) that something similar is possible with Vorbis files, but in approximately 2.2 dB steps. Is this true, or is my memory at fault? Hello. I have a problem here with replay gain. I use it to be able to hear all my music without any difference in volume. But it seems that all players I use ignore the gain value stored in my flac files. Thanks Geoff, I will give it a try. I am reencoding all files to a 128K mp3, 44100 sample rate stereo stream for consistency. So yes I have the decode and encode lines in the xml file as you outlined. I will check out sox and see how it does. I am also exploring mp3gain to run across the entire library and see if getting all files to the same level will help. Larry -----Original

Hello list, i did a quite sucessfull net rpc vampire but one promblem remains. Everything is fine, but the user group memberships aren't restored. Only alle primary group member ships are restored. every user is in the primgrp (4126 Users). All Groups (2659) are restored including sids. but no membership is restored!
