Debugging some DTMF Weirdness.
I'm attempting to find where my extra long DTMF Tones are coming from.
I'm dialing from my sip handset through my proxy to my Asterisk box which
is my PSTN Gateway.
I'm pressing 4 to select a menu and everything is fine.

netsock error? some sip clients crashing!
Hello
I have a weird behaviour with our local GSM (3G) provider -- several
SIP clients crash on the android phone, when switching to 3G network,
and in asterisks logs it looks like this - client registers on server
successfull and then crashesh immediately.
Here's suspicious part of asterisk log:

Caller-ID name delivered in double-quotes
I did some searching in the archive, but found only one message with
this same question and no answer. Hopefully it's a simple config problem.
When the Caller-ID is delivered, it is surrounded by double-quotes,
like this:
"ATA-57 1"
On long caller-id strings, the last character is cut off to make room
for the leading double-quote:
"BudgeTone 1234

openldap fails to authenticate
I am attempting to setup an LDAP server under CentOS 5.4.
However I am unable to search my ldap directory even tho I am
supplying the proper credentials for the Manager account:
[root at ldap openldap]# ldapsearch -x -h ldap -D
'cn=Manager,dc=example,dc=net' -W -b 'dc=example,dc=net'
Enter LDAP Password:
ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49)
Anonymous searches do work however:

Display of Photomatix GUI Has No Buttons, Checkmarks
I would like to use Photomatix Pro 3.1.3 on my WINE install. I was able to successfully install it after installing corefonts and .NET 2.0 using winetricks. The program opens fine but none of the buttons, checkmarks, or other window dressings appear:

qemu-kvm version for CentOS
WHY CentOS still using qemu-kvm 0.12?
What I am need is high version of qemu-kvm for CentOS, but seems like they do not officially provide newest qemu, only qemu 0.12 source code with 3522 patched rpm package.
Is there any reasonable to keep low version for qemu-kvm ? or what should I do if I need newest qemu-kvm rpm package?

Huh? IP address ending with 611
Hi,
I`m getting this (from one of my registered phone that has been installed at
some location I can`t access at the moment) in the Asterisk CLI. Notice the
last 3 digits of the IP address in the error message:

Of course it's not a valid host! But, when using "sip show

Anyone know what this warning is about? Nothing in list history about it either..
On inbound calls from my SIP provider I get multiple warnings as follows:
WARNING[5351]: chan_sip.c:7086 check_via: 'MODH6QD' is not a valid host
Everything else works but these warnings are a pain and I don't know what
they are about.... Nothing on previos lists or Google explains...

predict.rpart question
Dear All,
I have a question regarding predict.rpart. I use
rpart to build classification and regression trees and I deal with data with
relatively large number of input variables (predictors). For example, I build an
rpart model like this
rpartModel <- rpart(Y ~ X, method="class",
minsplit =1, minbucket=nMinBucket,cp=nCp);
and get predictors used in building the model like

trouble recording calls
Hi all,
I am having the following trouble with recording calls:
When calls come into the support line did number, the call starts to
record on the first queue, but appears to hang up when the call actually
connects to the engineer (ie I see "got hangup request" on the cli and
then mixmonitor ends.) I am guessing this has to do with the announce
file that is played to the engineer

'mean' and 'sd' calculations do not match
Dear list,
I am using R 2.1.1 on a Fedora 3 Linux, 32 bit PC.
If I compute the aggregated mean and the standard deviation I get
standard deviation values for factors where the mean was not computed.
It seems to me that this is somehow related to the NA values. But I
don't quite understand what is going wrong?
Could it be related to the data import already? Some of the imported
data got the

Search within a file
Hi,
I am looking for a way to search a file for position of some expression,
from within R. My current code:
sha1Pos = gregexpr("<sha1>", readChar(filename,
file.info(filename)$size))[[1]]
Works fine for small files, but text files I will be working with might get
up to Gb range, so I was trying to accomplish the same without loading the
whole file into R.
I realize this is
