OT: vmware server not accepting root password?
Sorry for the OT question; I'm hoping someone else has a similar setup and ran into this same problem? For some reason, not sure what I changed, my vmware server is no longer accepting the root login for the management console or web mui interface. I'm certain the password is correct, and I've even reset root's password to make sure. VMware seems to be running ok, I can access

Strange TCP-Problem with GPL PV 0.8.8
Hi all, I have a strange problem with GPL PV 0.8.8 (0.6.4 did work). On my 2nd vif I cannot establish TCP connections. The 3rd IP packet (ACK from XEN-Image) is not forwarded by XEN/DOM0-Bridge. If I boot Windows without /GPLPV option, everything works fine. I did some investigation and found out that the packages arrive differently if GPLPV is enabled. "br_inet" is a bridge

virtual hdd problems when CentOS is guest OS
I recently installed VMware on CentOS 4.4 (using the single server CD). I installed VMware fine, and then installed the VMware-mui tools that allow me to use a Windows box to console to the server. From my Windows box, I can create VMs on the fly just fine. Interestingly, I can create virtual Debian boxes ok, but I can't create virtual CentOS boxes. What might I be missing? As soon as I

Guest Virtual Bios in XEN
Hi, I am using Libvirt with XEN hypervisor to manage the VM. I see there are 3 kinds of Virtual BIOS for XEN Guest VM, they are ROMBIOS,SEABIOS, OVMF ( is disabled by default as XEN Supporters said ). But I don't know how to pass the BIOS options to the Guest from XML file. Could you please suggest how to change the Virtual BIOS for the Guest from XML file in Libvirt or give some clues to

constrOptim does ineq, not eq, but who do ?
Hi everybody, please, could you give me help ? I scanned the help archives and didn't found hints... I want to solve a large sparse linear system subjected to an inequality constrains (all solutions positive) and an equality constrain (all solutions sum to 1), thus I tried to fool constrOptim using: x[1] + 0 + ... + 0 >= 0 ... 0 + 0 + ... + x[n] >= 0 x[1] + x[2] + ... +

[LLVMdev] "icmp eq", "icmp ne" not commuting operands on ARM
NE and EQ comparisons should be able to commute their operands. But, for ARM at least, this does not seem to be happening. The first sequence below generates CMN (compare negated) but the second does not (complete test attached). These seem to map to ARMcmpNZ. Where would I look to see if that is marked commutative? %nb = sub i32 0, %b %tmp = icmp ne i32 %a, %nb %nb = sub

[LLVMdev] TableGen !eq() Operator Patch
Attached is a patch to implement an !eq() operator in TableGen. We use this for the AVX specification to allow the user to control what kind of pattern should be used for a particular instruction def. For example, we use it for reg-mem instructions to let the user choose between a built-in generic reg-mem pattern, the same pattern that was used for the reg-reg variant of the instruction or a
