[LLVMdev] Thank you for selecting my GSoC proposal!
hello everybody,
I am very much happy to announce that my GSoC 2008 proposal[1] was accepted.
Thank you very much for accepting my proposal.
My mentor is Tanya Lattner.
I would like to know how should I communicate with my mentor( using this
dev-list, #llvm at Oftc.net or by any other means)?
I started to work on my project(right now I am further looking into the
nightly tester source[2] and the

[samba4] Thank you to the Samba Team
Hi,
I wanted to write this message in order to thank the Samba team for the work they provided. With some colleagues we had to organize a national competitive examination for the Education (in France) for which the candidates worked on computers (on Windows 7). After thought, we had decided to use Samba4 with :
- a domain controller on a Debian Wheezy (it was a virtual machine that we had

Thank you from a new user
Ladies and gentlemen,
A few days ago I was looking for a new radio for my '89 Isuzu Trooper
which I just rebuilt. Crutchfield is my goto supplier of audio equipment
and, much to my surprise, there is a JVC KD-X31MBS which will play FLAC
files. It is on my Christmas list.
So I am using Audex in OpenSuse 13.1 to rip my CDs. I am tired of the
windows software I was using truncating the mp3

Ferret 0.10.6 released (and some benchmarks)
Hey folks,
** Description **
Firstly for those who don''t know, Ferret is a full-text search library
which makes adding search to your application a breeze. It''s much
faster than MySQL full-text search as well most other search libraries
out there. It allows you to do Boolean (+ruby + rails -jewelry) and
phrase queries ("the quick brown fox") as well as some more

Parantheses highlighting
Dear list,
is it just me or is everybody experiencing this?
Since the upgrade to R 2.13.0 on my Mac (OS X 10.6.7, R GUI 1.40 (5751)) the highlighting of matching parantheses doesn't work the way it used to. It doesn't highlight the matching parantheses while typing, but it still does while scrolling over it with the cursor with the arrow keys. This is quite inconvenient since I have to go

EVERYONE USING DOVECOT PLEASE SIGN: Thanks, Administrators of Dovecot!
With the release of dovecot 2.0, the community of the Dovecot mailling
list, and us at Shelton Computers, would sincerely like to thank the
developers of Dovecot. For, if it were not for you, we would be stuck
with Courier and would not have the impressive features of Sieve, as
opposed to the unmanageable scripts, by end users, of maildrop.
*Our gratitude goes to, but not limited to:*

For those of you that uses syn Text Editor to edit .R files
Hi,
sorry to bother you, and that this is probably not the right list :-),
but I read that some of you might use syn as Editor
for .R files. I've released an unofficial Version of the syn Text Editor
with improved support for R (I'm the initial developer of this program,
btw.). syn is a Windows 32 Program (Win9x, NT4, 2000), but maybe it runs
also inside Wine, I didn't try it.

Ferret is now accepting donations
Hey folks,
Since this is the Ferret mailing list I should preface this by that
the donation of time and help by people like Jens Kraemer, Jan Prill
and all the other people who have contributed to Ferret is just as
valuable to me as any financial assistance. Thanks.
Ferret has been a labour of love but it has taken up a lot more of my
life than I ever expected. At in excess of 50,000 lines of

Could you please comment on my findings? (was: Huge number of small files performance regression from 3.5.16 to 4.6.5)
Hello again, Jeremy (and hello, fellow Samba experts - maybe someone of
you can comment on this, too!?),
please accept my apologies in case you are on vacation - otherwise in
case you are still terribly busy, please at least reply very shortly
stating when you will finally have some time to look into this issue and
my findings...
Sorry to still be such a pain in your neck(s), but another two

kate editor for R
Like kile for LaTeX, Linux/KDE's kate editor is an excellent editor for
R, with easy code submission to a running R process. Syntax
highlighting is good. I have not been able to figure out two things:
- how to automatically reformat a line or region of text using good
indentation rules (Emacs/ESS make this so easy by just hitting Tab while
the cursor is in a line, or highlighting a

thank you!
Hi
I just want to thank you for your great work with this incredible app!
I just installed wine (sudo apt-get install wine) and then simply installed my Photoshop 7 (wine setup.exe): works flawless, can't get much easier :D
Now with PS7 I'm feeling much more at home on my Xubuntu Linux!
THX and keep up this awesome work!

make distcheck
Ralf,
It looks like fixing 'make distcheck' is going to be a huge pain in the
neck. Is it not possible to make Jenkins do 'make check' instead of
'make distcheck'?

Im trying to hide the ability to show my host details from OpenSSH on
GNU/Linux Debian using this method:
Add the following line to /etc/ssh/sshd_config
DebianBanner no
And restart your SSH daemon: /etc/init.d/ssh restart or service ssh restart

Another question why user cant hide SSH info as well? why it needs to be
