Problems with *.enu files
Hi there everybody! I have the following problem: when i launch isobuster (a tool with which you can extract nearly every existable cd-image) I get an error in the console which says that a file called isobuster.enu couldnt be loaded. It should be in the isobuster directory but on my whole box there is no such file so i think it is implemented in the exe file which is the only one in the

Macromedia FreeHand MX on Wine, doesn't create new document
Hello. I have installed Macromedia FreeHand MX under Wine 1.1.1 on Arch Linux. It installs OK, but I can't create a new document. When I go on File => New it gives an error ("Could not complete your request because an error occurred") and then Wine dies with a segmentation fault. Final words from Wine before dying: [22:39:44] [renan at sanctuary:~/.wine/drive_c/Arquivos de

Macromedia Dreamweaver MX
Hi, I hope this is the correct mailing list to send to. Basically I have just put in a full Linux computer suite in the school I work at. The problem is they need the Macromedia Suite for their 6th form students. As I couldn't get MX2004 to work at all I have 'downgraded' to MX. Fireworks, Freehand and Flash MX all work perfectly! But... Dreamweaver does not. What happens is I run

Mass 'identify' on 2d-plot
Hello, dear R-users. I have 2-d dotplot with two variables: x, y. Dots on this dotplot are grouped in human-recogniseable areas. These areas are not round-shaped nor oval-shaped. They are free-form, but still recogniseable by an operator. What is ability in R to graphically (per mouse) define some area and to select all the cases felt in it? 'identify' is OK for 5-10 cases, but what

Booting ISO images over PXE
Hi, I looked through the documentation and the mailing list archives but could not yet find out whether this could be made to work. The task I want to use that feature for is being able to collect firmware updates for servers and their components and boot those updates from a notebook with DHCP/TFTP-Server. That would greatly reduce setup time for new server installations. The problem is that

Building a custom Windows installer
Dear r-devel list members, It's been several years since I last built a custom Windows installer for R, and despite my notes and the instructions in Sections 3.1.7 and D.4 of the R Installation and Administration Manual, I've run into a problem, receiving the following error message: ----------- snip ----------- C:\R\src\R-2.11.1\src\gnuwin32\installer>make myR

Followup: copy-paste graphics from R to Word on Mac OS X
After trying numerous options, I'm just about at my wits end. The most frequent suggestion was to export to a postscript or PDF file and import that into Word. However, no matter what I did or how I did it, the results were extraordinarily ugly and somewhat time-consuming. What I've tried so far: 1. Copy and paste from the R graphics output window into Word (in Mac OS X), this is

Vorbis in Macromedia Flash (was Icecast in...)
Hi Jack, It's a good idea. I am going to email macromedia to ask support for ogg in Flash. Anyway, it is impossible it would be available before end of 2004 because the brand new Flash 2004 was just released. Freehand 10 in Wine?
Hi, I very much hope that someone can help me with a problem installing Macromedia Freehand 10 on Ubuntu Feisty: According to a few other people, Freehand should actually run fine in Wine: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iVersionId=1649 got it to run "OK" in Wine 20021219 and http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/2005-November/019597.html even reports that Freehand MX runs

Calendar date picker for use with rails.
Howdy folks, As I was putting together a rough form for a rails app, I got to thinking how much smoother (in my siytuation) a little calendar widget would be than the default date picker selects. Does anyone know if such a thing exists ? I suspect it would have to be somewhat designed with rails in mind to populate the right kind of post params for convenient use at the controller end.

Belkin F6C100-UNV + newhidups
Mr. Selinger, I'm CCing you directly since it appears (insofar as I can tell) that you are one of the delelopers for the newhidups driver. This is the third time I've submitted this (hence the CC this time). Hopefully mailman takes it. I've tweaked my SPF records, and I'm hoping that was the problem. My sincere apologies if this has gone through and I just haven't seen it

Building Wine Using Macports
I've got the source of Wine 1.2.1 (patched to my liking) and I'm trying to build it using Macports so I don't have to manually install each required package (that's how I understand it at least, I failed at doing it through 'make' in an earlier post because I was missing a bunch of packages despite having X11 and Xcode). Unfortunately I have no idea how to do this, and even

isolinux + windows installation CD : second trial
Hello, There was a thread here about month and a half ago, titled: isolinux + windows installation CD see: http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2006-May/006902.html It dealt with burning an individual installer to disc from a multi-boot DVD - of the style you get with an MSDN subscription. The process suggested was: 1. copy the contents of the ISO to a temporary folder. 2. make the isolinux

multi-boot CD question
Hello everyone, I am attempting to add another boot option to our multi-boot technical resource CD where I work. I currently have 8 working floppy disk images, but this time I need to add a piece of software which I only have access to through an ISO image. This ISO image, when burned to a CD, boots and runs the software fine. I know that isolinux does not support booting ISO images. I used
