CentOS7 buggy freeradius
Bonjour,
It seems that freeradius 3.0.1-6.el7 of centOS 7 don't work.
When doing very simple authentification (PAP control of ssh login on a
switch), I get a segmentation fault when the first accounting packet
arrives on the server.
Does anyone test succesfully this version of freeradius ?
Thanks
PS: no error with the compilation of the last source version of
freeradius (3.0.7)

CROSS-LIST Notice: Changes in EPEL
If you use the EPEL repository, please read
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/epel-announce/2014-November/000032.html
TL;DR: There are a large number of orphaned/unmaintained packages in
EPEL across the 5, 6, and 7 trees. These packages will be removed from
EPEL unless they are picked up by a packager. Packages that *depend* on
an orphaned package will be removed as well to ensure

RHEL 7 Beta is now public
Hi,
http://ftp.redhat.com/redhat/rhel/beta/7/
Go get it ( maybe consider using a mirror ), play with it, test it, and
file reports. Dont use it in production.
As in the past, we highly encourage people to use the official beta
builds from Red Hat and to report issues at http://bugzilla.redhat.com/
Within CentOS, we are going to do a CentOS7Beta1 build to match the
release upsteam, and do it in

ADS Domain Member Workgroup vs Realm
I'm working to setup Samba as a domain member to a Windows Server active
directory, and I keep hitting road blocks. There's some real terminology
hurdles in the wiki.
In a nutshell, my problem is this: I setup a Windows 2012 Essentials ADS
domain and I ended up with zartman.local for my "domain" in Windows. So,
I've got a dns zone in windows server that is domain.local

Apache vs Nginx POST
Are GET, POST, and COOKIE on Ngnix the same as Apache? I''m creating
these objects assuming a form will POST and get turned into a hash/
array is this the correct expectation?

ADS Domain Member Workgroup vs Realm
I would say that workgroup = ZARTMAN should be right. Workgroups normally don't have dots in their name.
Than you should also try:
idmap config ZARTMAN:backend = ad
idmap config ZARTMAN:schema_mode = rfc2307
idmap config ZARTMAN:range = 10000-99999
One more thing is that it's not recommended to have a .local domain realm.
Have a look at this above glibc...

security breach - ftp?
Hi,
I'm running Plesk 11.0.9 on a Centos 5.5.
A website on that box got hacked last week and malicious code got inserted
into some html/php files. So I went to find out what happened...
I found no back doors by using rkhunter or manually searching for
suspicious files in /tmp, etc. No activity at all in the php logs at the
time of the attack. I also analysed of course the system logs

OpenVPN server and firewalld
How do I insert the iptables rule below using firewalld?
I'm moving up from CentOS 6 to 7 on an office gateway and I'm trying to get
OpenVPN working to allow home workers to access PCs at the office. I've got
it all working but only by manually inserting an ACCEPT rule in the FORWARD
iptables chain:
iptables -I FORWARD 3 -i tun+ -j ACCEPT
This rule was extracted from my iptables

VMWare Client COS 5 Disk Type
When creating a VMWare client that is Cent OS 5, the default SCSI disk
is not recognized by the installer. Any suggestions for getting a disk
on a COS5 client? Possible alternatives: 1) IDE disk, seems to work
fine, 2) ??. Follow up to choice 1, is there a performance hit?
While I have you, what is the best choice for "Guest Operating System".?
Choices include RHEL, RHEL 4, and

mongrel and reverse proxy security
Hi,
It seems that webrick cannot handle too much client and that luke is
making mongrel the ''default'' server to use so i wanted to switch to
mongrel. Then i read that i cannot use directly mongrel like webrick
because it does not speak SSL.
So my issue is : how to be sure things stay secure in the way that the
proxy should be the one speaking ssl and making client ssl
