Yumex, yum-utils
I saw the link someone posted to SL (Scientific Linux) yumex rpm's. I grabbed the SRPMS, changed some references from SL to CentOS in the spec files and rebuilt the RPMS. I managed to get yumex up and running by manually configuring yumex.conf. What is the use of the yum-utils and the dozen or so utilities? Are there any docs? (Bearing in mind my hack may have damaged the SL installation)

Yumex in 6.5 minimal -
When I start yumex as user it displays but stops with an error message that the backend is not running. However "yumex --root" starts and runs normally. It is Centos 6.5 64 bit and using XFCE running in virtualbox if that matters. Any suggestion as to what I am missing? Bob -- http://www.qrz.com/db/w2bod Box10 Fedora-20/64bit Linux/XFCE

yumex 'crashed' - anyway to resume?
I spent quite a bit of time setting up what I wanted to update and install via yumex. I left my system for a few minutes to attend to another computer. A helpful family member logged me off without checking. So can I recapture what I had queued? I cannot find anything that looks like a yumex queue file. yum.log does not have any updates from today.... :(

Hi, there isn't any version of yumex in 5.1 extras directory. Perhaps it is time for version 2.0.3?

No Package Manager? (Where's YumEx)
Hi List, This morning while setting up C6 on my laptop this morning I attempted to download and install Yumex, but the repos returned no results for this package. Has this been discontinued and if so, what package manager should I be looking for? thanks, Mark

Need yumex in centos 6.4 -
I've just installed centos 6.4 from a live spin I had but can't get it to install yumex or xfce for that matter. What is the secret? Or can it not be done ... Bob -- http://www.qrz.com/db/w2bod Box10 Fedora-20/64bit Linux/XFCE

Yumex-Error in loading repository data
On a CentOS 4 desktop Yumex gives the error message "Error in loading repository data" but yum works fine from the cli. Could something have been broken in yumex? Putting yumex in debug mode does not give me clues as to the error message. Thanks, Josh

Trying to re-install ZFS drivers
What should have been a routine upgrade to ZFS 0.6.4.1-1.el6.x86_64 somehow failed, and now I've lost access to a 2T raidz2 array. I've tried removing all zfs and related packages (spl*), then starting fresh. For reasons that have have nothing to do with this problem (I don't think), I'm still booted to kernel 2.6.32-431.29.2.el6.x86_64, and there are no other kernels installed.

Request permission to edit/create new entries for FreeNX and YUMEX
Hi people I will like to ask for the permission to rewrite the current FreeNX article. The current article is lacking in the information on how to add accounts to the nxserver on centos. I think it will be very difficult for linux newbies to understand how to read that article. I am a newbie too so I can understand the frustration when you can't find an appropriate HowTo article.
