Folks I have encountered a situation with YUM that isn't what I expected. Let's suppose I want to install a group, call it G. My first question would be -- is the group already installed. I did a minimal install and then with yum groupinstall, installed http, ftp and samba servers. However the gui server settings are not displayed for these servers. Is there a package that I need to install or do I need to change a setting(s) in a file? Okay, I experimented with both KDE and Gnome, and decided I'd rather use Gnome. After making this decision, I wanted to remove KDE, because I like to keep my hard drive as lean as possible.
