CentOS 7, PS-2 moose
I just built a workstation, CentOS 7, fully updated. My user requires his
three-button mouse, telling me that imaging software is written for
three-button mice (so *please* don't tell me to tell him to get a new
mouse).
Anyway, no cursor. In both /var/log/messages and journalctl, I see "unable
to enable mouse".
What I read in messages and manpages is that PS-2 is default

CentOS 7 MATE flakey mouse
I'm using the MATE desktop (via 'yum groupinstall "MATE Desktop"') on
CentOS 7. I'm finding the mouse to be rather flakey in the sense
that:
  - in MATE Terminal, clicking on text and dragging the mouse (in order
to highlight the text and copy it to the X cut & paste buffer) will
sometimes drop the highlight (thus not copying anything), or
    stop and

Keyboard problem
I've had a Logitech cordless desktop on my primary desktop for the
last few years, and every once in a while the number pad would just
"go out" - the <enter> key and num-lock would still work, but of all
the others would do nothing except the 5, which would pop-up a
subwindow in some app on the screen that didn't have the focus.
I thought this was aproblem with the

Bug with evdev corepointers
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hello everybody,
Those who are active in #Xgl on freenode know that I've had segfaults
when starting Xgl during the last few weeks (which is also why there was
no progress on my g-w-d rewrite).
Today I found the time to debug Xgl and to find the bug.
My mouse was configured as evdev device in xorg.conf, and to use it, it

Logitech unifying receiver (pairing)
Hi,
Is anyone here using a Logitech wireless mouse our keyboard or whatever
using a "unifying receiver". Any luck with pairing new devices with the
unit?
I've tried various different programs from the net that's supposed to be
able to do this, but they all fail in one way or the other.
"pairing_tool" and "ltpair" will exit with a "broken pipe"

Problem with Logitech wireless keyboard EX110
I got a Logitech EX110 wireless keyboard and mouse set about a year or
so ago, maybe more. The number pad on the keyboard stopped working
after a while, so I complained to Logitech, and they sent me a new
keyboard (actually, the whole set).
I've had the problem on and off again a couple of times since then,
but it usually only lasts a few days before all is well again.
However, my son also

Multi-button mice and Linux?
Does anyone here use a multi-button (as in more than 2) mouse with Linux?
How well supported are they? I've had to get one recently for work. I was
diagnosed with CTS and I now wear braces and use a wireless Intellimouse.
Works great at work with Windows, but I'm unsure how much, if any support
there is for Linux. Anyone have experience with this?

Eaton 5PX 1500i RT2U : nut does not work
Hello,
Just baught this ups to replace an Ellipse.
I've had a look at the nut hardware compatibility list, it's fully
compatible and uses the same driver as ellipse (usbhid-ups)
Here is the error I get when I "/usr/bin/upsdrvctl start" :

Might be buying a Mac
I might be buying a Mac tomorrow. I checked out the new 13.3in MacBook at the new Apple Store on 5th ave in NYC. I''m torn between the smaller MacBook and the MacBook Pro. We have a pro at work and I''m not that thrilled with the way it feels. I like the keyboard much better on the 13inch. However, I think doing development on that small of a screen could get frustrating. Any

mouse scroll-wheel side-click configuration?
Still googling, no joy so far (though I'm not giving up yet).
Can anyone point me to a resource that may help me figure out how to
make the side-clicks of the scroll wheel on a logitech mouse do something
useful?
thanks!

How to setup a joystick in Wine
I spent hours the other night trying to re-map my Logitech USB
wireless gamepad for playing games in Wine. I added registry keys all
over the place with the cryptic X,Y,Z,Rx nonsense but nothing would
seem to work. Does anyone know how to do this properly, or is it
broken? I'm trying to map the right thumbstick for looking around and
left stick for moving in Rune.

GM108GLM?
Hi again,
It works :-)
Reclocking, however, is another kettle of fish.
Trying #echo 0f > /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/pstate hangs X.
Trying the same with no X running reveals:

GM108GLM?
Hi,
With drm-next from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-next/2016-12-08/
I don't get the error messages, but I still get a soft cpu lockup.
What info would you need from me to get it working?
Best regards,

GM108GLM?
Aha! That seems to do it.
If I interpret correctly, it doesn't set it quite to full power, though,
but it's certainly an improvement:
07: core 405 MHz memory 810 MHz
0a: core 270-1124 MHz memory 1600 MHz
0f: core 270-1124 MHz memory 2002 MHz AC DC *
AC: core 1012 MHz memory 2002 MHz
A short run of glmark2 shows aver 100% improvement to ~550 FPS.
Interestingly, it's still nowhere

PCI passthrough working on Xen 3!
Thanks to the kind person(s) who worked on this. I am using PCI
passthrough right now and it works. I hope support is added for VT
domains too; That would be extremely useful.
So far I have tried a NIC, USB, and PCI Video. The NIC works flawlessly.
USB works as long as the devices are present at the time the domain
is started. Hotplugging USB devices seems not to work. If I open

Joystick functionality in Wine for Mac OS
I need help getting my joystick functioning for Wine in Mac OS X. I am using Wineskin with Wine version 1.3.9 and Mac OS 10.6.5. The joystick is functional and my Mac reads it fine. I've tried editing the regedit keys by creating a DirectInput key with the string "Logitech Logitech Extreme 3D" = "X,Y,Rz,Slider1,POV1,POV2". However, that did nothing. I also tried putting the

Logitech WingMan Cordless Gamepad
Hi,
I have a problem with this particular gamepad. I calibrated it under linux with jscal and it is working OK. But now I want to play FIFA with it and fifa don't detect it as Logitech WingMan Cordless Gamepad but as controler.
I found wine registry tips and followed their guide for DirectInput but I have a problem because command specified there doesn't give the expected output:

Logitech Brio 4K Ultra HD Webcam - 960-001105
Everyone,
I was hoping to be able to plug the Logitech Brio in and have it work,
but it did not. I can have it connect to a Windows 10 laptop and have
it function, so I know the camera works. ?
The Centos 7.4 is recognizing it when I plug in the usb 3.0 cable. The
results of dmesg demonstrated :

Logitech Marble Mouse on CentOS 4
Hello there!
I just bought this trackball and connected it to a CentOS 4 box. I
googled on how to edit xorg.conf for the 2 scrollbuttons, and they
work while using this section:

         Driver "mouse"
