[PATCH] Allow manual pages and POD files to be translated.
You need to install po4a (in Fedora) to test this. Translations for man pages
Hi, as already discussed, we could provide translated man pages using po4a. Please find two scripts attached. Both are intended to be run in the top level directory. The script create-man-pot.sh generates a pot template for all the existing man pages and writes the result to template-man.pot. This is the file which has to be re-generated from time to time and has to be sent to the

[PATCH 1/2] build: isolate common po-docs logic
Move most of the content of either po-docs/ja/Makefile.am or po-docs/uk/Makefile.am to po-docs/language.mk, and use it exclusively instead of the former contents of the languange-specific Makefile.am. This way, either adding a new documentation or enabling a new language will not require copying over the same make code. --- po-docs/ja/Makefile.am | 174 +-------------------------------------------

[PATCH] build: ensure .pot and .pod files for docs are up-to-date
Traverse the po-docs directory before the subdirectories with translated documentations, so we can make sure that libguestfs-docs.pot and the translated .pod files have been generated. As a consequence of that, when generating the translated manpages for documentations, all the needed .pod files should be already there. --- po-docs/Makefile.am | 6 +++++- 1 file changed, 5 insertions(+), 1

hivex: lintain being pedantic about spelling!
Thanks very much for the responses on my last three issues. I've incorporated the appropriate changes into the budding Debian package. I feel embarrassed to raise this one, but in the interests of shutting lintian up maybe this could be fixed at some point: I: hivex: spelling-error-in-manpage usr/share/man/man1/hivexregedit.1.gz reencode re-encode I: libhivex-perl: spelling-error-in-manpage

[v2v PATCH 00/14] Adaptations to Weblate
We are migrating to Weblate (the Fedora instance, in particular) for translations instead of Zanata. Adapt our tooling a bit to the different workflow: - Weblate takes care of updating the po files whenever a new translation catalog is available, so stop doing that on our own: this meant also tweaking the po4a usage for POD documentations, resulting in simpler rules (IMHO) - ensure that the

Deprecation of scp protocol and improving sftp client
I conjecture that only few of the existing use cases rely on remote expansion. In any case (no pun intended), IMHO it would be better to break a few of the current use cases but leave the majority functional - than kill scp for all. VoIP extn number planning
Looking for some advanced thoughts relative to exten number assignments. We're in the planning stage for rolling out asterisk at multiple small US telco/isp operations. Their typical voip customer has had their pstn line for a looooong time and wants to keep the pstn line and number, but add voip to their existing home/soho arrangement. One approach (from a planning perspective) is to

French translation for the manpages -> possible inclusion ?
I translated OpenSSH manpages and the manpages for some related utilities (at least for the 3.4 release of OpenSSH). Those manpages are hosted at G?rard Delafond website (http://www.delafond.org/traducmanfr/index.php). G?rard then dispatches the manpages in some of the major Linux distributions (as far as I know Debian GNU/Linux, Mandrake GNU/Linux et RedHat, maybe others ...). Recently, an user
