Anyone running caller id spoofing applications in the USA running
asterisk?
Then it's time to move them to Canada or similar.

Caller ID spoofing
Hello everybody!
I am having the following problem and since I am a beginner in playing
with asterisk, i can't solve it:
I am trying to integrate my existing H.323 network in real world
telephony by ISDN cards. The problem is that i DON'T want to change all
e164 numbers in my h.323 network and my ISDN provider doesn't accept
those identities (CIDs). So, i have to spoof the outgoing

International Caller ID?
We have antiquated caller ID schemes here in Australia. We barely
support numbers from other local carriers, let alone OS ones. Certainly
no names either.

Spoofing a BLF Signal?
Is there anyway to "spoof" a BLF signal to a phone from within a
dialplan? That being so I can turn a BLF light on or off on a phone
when a certain thing happens in a dialplan?

security: SIP header spoofing CHANNEL(recvip)?
I am currently suffering various SIP attacks. I am using the following
extension to record the caller's IP address:
exten => h,n,set(CDR(srcip)=${CHANNEL(recvip)})
However, in recent attacks, this IP address is not correct, and I
believe that they are spoofing it. I am using asterisk 1.6.2.15.
Does the CHANNEL(recvip) variable record IP show in the SIP header
instead of the real, UDP

macvtap direct and ip spoofing
Hi there. I have configured kvm domain (rhel6.4) with ethernet bridged over
macvtap, and found no filtration applied except mac. 'virsh' just silently
ignoring attributes 'filterref' and 'ip address' in different formats. No
error on validate stage. Config examples:

<interface type='direct'>
<mac address='52:54:00:31:ae:1a'/>

BT line: unavailable vs withheld numbers?
On a BT line, how do I determine whether the number on an incoming call has
been deliberately withheld (by dialling 141) or is merely unavailable (e.g.
because it originated from overseas or passed through some ancient switching
equipment) ?
In the first case, I want the caller to be played a message to the effect that
we are not at home to anonymous cowards but if their business is

[SECURITY] preventing Hwaddr spoofing on bridge

Is there a way to prevent hwaddr/mac address spoofing between DomU''s?
So in a way ''binding'' a mac-address on boot time with a virtual

mac spoofing
Hi,
I have the following Problem:
My Rootserver stands at a hoster, I run a debian sarge and installed Xen
3 there latetly.
I booted the xen Kernel - everything ok.
However: when I started xend, the server instantly stopped responding.
My Hosters Support said, that was due to a sort of mac spoofing
protection in the switch, which disabled the Port, to which my server is
connected, because there

CID, international style?
I'm thinking of doing an app to work with the CID that's gotten from
the Zap channel.
All the CID's I see from within the US are 10 digit numbers.
I'm out in the rural areas of the US, and no-one ever calls me from
overseas.
If they did, what would the CID look like?
What does the CallerID look like overseas? How many countries provide
it?

[Bridge] Making a bridge work without source address spoofing
So, I agree, the curent wireless card I have been given does not allow source address spoofing, but I still would like to use bridging. I wonder if anyone has tried modifying the bridge code to encapsulate the actual packet in some way so that the desired source address can be preserved?
I am thinking of something like duplicating the ETH header, adding it to the beginning of the packet, so that

The attached patch fixes a few bugs related to the spoofing portmapper used

Spoofing CallerID on Demain
I have an outgoing line that allows me to set my caller id. I want to be
able to change the caller id when ever I place a call using this line. I
would like my user to press 7, then be prompted for their 10 digit caller id
number, then be prompted for the number they would like to call in the form
1NXXNXXXXXX.
How can I accomplish this???
Right now I am using this script that users have to

ssh keys hostname VS fqdn - offends?
Hi guys
Though being a mere user, - as opposed to an expert - in
many long years of ssh in my use this, is new:
-> $ ssh box5.proxmox.mine hostname -i
10.3.1.78
-> $ ssh box5 hostname -i
Warning: the RSA host key for 'box5' differs from the key
for the IP address '10.3.1.78'
Offending key for IP in /root/.ssh/known_hosts:2
Matching host key in /etc/ssh/ssh_known_hosts:2

RE: [Asterisk-Dev] Open source time card application for Asterisk
A little bird whispers to me: Don't expect this
particular trick to be un-addressed by various
legislatures forever. That window is closing,
and the bottom of the window looks very much like
a guillotine blade - don't have your head in the
wrong place.
In any case, as has been discussed on -users

thus where I'm relegating it)

simpletelecom.com??? are they a SCAM?
Hi List!
any body use www.simpletelecom.com?
I subscribe to www.simpletelecom.com for A-Z termination and paid
US$15.00 and US$70.00 via credit card in two days, but my account has
US$15.00 only. I checked my credit card from the bank and they said me
the payment already paid to merchant.
I've lost US$70.00 :(
so anyone here has experience with them? are they a SCAM?
Thanks!
