DB_DELETE Function in 1.4
Does anyone know what application I should place this function in? For example with the DB function I currently do something like this to add an entry to the asterisk database: exten => s,n,Set(DB(AGENT/${MACRO_EXTEN:1})=${CALLERID(num)}) To delete the entries I do something like this: exten => s,n,DBDel(AGENT/${MACRO_EXTEN:1}) DBDel is marked as deprecated in favor of the DB_DELETE

can''t understand strange PRIO behaviour
Hello everybody, sorry for bothering you, but after some hours, I''m stuck. I''m living in a student''s foundation where I want to connect lots of people to a tiny DSL link. We have exactly four types of traffic. We want a really hard PRIO solution (as I promised to someone that group X will only use the link capacity which isn''t used by group Y). I could make a

Really wacky problem with internal extensions.
We have an Asterisk server acting as a hosted PBX system for many clients, and we're going through an upgrade to Asterisk 1.6 by moving our most important (and complicated) clients one at a time. But we're having a problem with one customer that I really can't explain. I can place calls directly to one phone at the customer's location (they also have an IVR that asks for an

Snom 320 echo
Has anyone ever encountered an echo on the IP phone side of a call? It is an echo of the user's own voice. I believe that no one else in the office is experiencing this problem. The phone itself is a Snom 320. I've asked Snom for assistance since my source no longer carries Snom, but unlike previous times they've been slow to respond. ----- Mike Hammett Intelligent Computing

Advice on building a REST API over ASTDB
Hello, I'm using an Asterisk 17 dialplan that currently includes: 1. many "DB gets" calls (ie statements like Set(FOO=${DB(Foo/Bar)}) 2. and a couple of "DB puts" (ie statements like Set(DB(Foo/Bar)=Foo) or DB_DELETE(Foo/bar)) I would like to add an HTTP Provisionning API that would allow an external program to mostly change or sometimes read some ASTDB values. Ex-Girlfriend syntax and RealTime Extensions
As seen in the following URL: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+RealTime+Extensions and as I also tested some time ago with an old release of Asterisk, RealTime Extensions didn't support the Ex-Girlfriend syntax. Is it already working in recent 1.4 or 1.2.15 releases? Is there any other way that I can use to do the same thing but only using contexts, for example? If yes, please

ConfBridge details
running Asterisk 1.8.9.0-rc2, what are the ways to interface with ConfBridge ? I see the CLI command 'confbridge' documented for asterisk 10, but i dont see how to interface with confbridge on 1.8 What I'm trying to do is keep track of conferences that are used. I tried something like the below, but not only does Confbridge not return, but i'd need something that erases the

DTMF input while waiting in queue...
Hey all! I'm trying to figure out how to have a queue accept an inbound caller's key press to action on. At first I'm just trying to implement a "Press 1 to leave a voice mail" announced and at any time in the queue, the user can press 1 and go to the queue's voicemail. Later I'd like to have it accept "Press 1 if this is an x issue, press 2 if this a y

Function to query ASTDB families
Hi, Asterisk database is made of <family><key> records such as: fam key1 val1 fam key2 val2 ... fam key100 val100 I'm looking for the smartest way to iterate among different keys associated to a given family. One way to do this is to parse "database show fam" response. Is there something smarter ? Something like ${DBKEYS(fam)} which would evaluate to "key1

Agent-Login/out in 1.6
Hi Carlos " Agentcallbacklogin was deprecated in Asterisk 1.4 and eliminated from 1.6 so you now need to use Dynamic Agents. Although they claim that is is simple enough to replace that functionality with dial plan code I have yet to see a one line example that replaces everything the agentcallbacklogin command did.| I totally agree, I have never seen any example that makes it work.

A preliminary design for an external DB for rsync
I've put some thought into adding DB support to rsync (in a future release). This would allow it to maintain some extra information about files and be able to lookup information rapidly. This would support things like caching of checksum information, finding files to hard-link with, saving file attributes separately from the files (allowing non-root preservation of full file attributes as

Asterisk : using setvar with IP Realtime and variable inheritance
Hi, I have what I think is a relatively advanced question. Any help is appreciated, even if it's not a complete answer. I am using Asterisk in mostly realtime fashion, specifically SIP registrations are in a MySQL table. This works fine (mostly). I also set a few variables in the setvar column, like this: callerid_internal=test <710>;did=5555551234 Again, this works
