Calls being dropped - Cisco 7940 with SIP 8.12 image
Hi everyone,
I hope someone can help me with a problem I'm having with Cisco 7940
phones on the SIP 8.12 image. When I place a call from one of the
handsets, the call proceeds as normal for 20 seconds and is then
terminated by Asterisk (1.4.26.2):

Cisco Gateway sending call to * without CID Name
Hi All,
I have a Cisco 2600 PRI gateway being hosted on an Asterisk server.
The PRI on the cisco is pointing to a customer legacy PBX, the SIP
VoIP side of the cisco is pointing to an Asterisk server (1.2.X).
In Asterisk, the SIP peer is setup with callerid="some name"<5551212>
In a SIP call from the cisco to asterisk, there is no CID name info in
SIP debug, so Asterisk

Re: regcontext, NoOp extension vanishes when extension reload, WORKING
OK this was an easy one to fix. All I had to do is RTFM. Note on the wiki:
ATTENTION: Make sure you take a look at bug report 7144
Just do what Kevin said, include the regcontext in whatever static
context you have the priority 2 extension and don't make a static
regcontext in extension.conf. Let sip module do the rest. Works
great.
Thanks Guys.

cisco 7940 audio problems to PSTN
Hi people.
I've been having some audio problems with some of my cisco 7940 phones
using firmware 7.1. The sound gets gargoled up, I can't understand much
of what is said (listing on the IP phone).
My setup is the following:
7940 - * - Cisco 2621(GW) - T1
I'm using SIP and g729 for all stages of the communication. I was using
ulaw for the leg between * and the Gw, but some guys on

Cisco Call Manager 4.0 to Asterisk, Anyone have SIP Reinvite working?
Hi All,
I haven't started sip traces or debug yet, but was wondering what the deal
is with the CCM and reinvite, why it doesn't work with Asterisk (using
1.2.9.1). I can make calls back and forth all day with canreinvite=no, when
I try to reinvite an inbound sip call from the CCM with Asterisk server 1 to
Asterisk Server 2, I get one-way audio issues. All the RTP ports are

Cisco 7940 no outgoing audio
Hi All
We have a private network setup (no nat) with three types of phones
connecting to asterisk via SIP. We have Polycom, Grandstream and Cisco
7940 IP phones.
When we ring polycom to grandstream or grandstream to polycom then both
phones can send and receive voice fine and all is well.
When we dial any combination of Cisco and either Polycom, or Granstream
the Cisco, no voice is being sent

ArtDio IPF-2000 unable to send audio to Cisco 7940 until placed on hold and resumed
The issue appears to be between the Cisco 7940 and the ArtDio IPF-2000,
when a call is initiated between these phones the ArtDio phone receives
the audio stream fine from the Cisco, but the Cisco can't hear anything
from the ArtDio, until the Cisco user places the call on hold and then
picks the line back up. When the Cisco user places the call on hold,
music streams fine from the server to

Voicemail .lock- files voicemail box not accessible
Hi All,
Strange issue, recently I started getting a lot of .lock files in the
voicemail /INBOX folder preventing proper access to voicemail. I can
delete the .lock files and everything is normal. After searching
around, I found some SIP lock file stuff but nothing specific to
voicemail.
Can someone point me in the right direction to resolve this? I'm
runnning 1.2.9 on Debian Sarge.

Realtime fullcontact field contains nat device private ip
Hi All,
Has anyone else noticed that when a sip phone sitting behind a nat
registers to asterisk using realtime database, the private IP of the
phone is put into the fullcontact field instead of the public contact
IP. The database has the correct public IP in the ipaddr field and
correct port number in the port field, which is actually what asterisk
uses to to contact the device.

0002475: [patch] Allow app_directory to work with REALTIME
Hi All,
I'm running 1.2.9.1 stable. I'm wondering has this patch been applied to

correctly to 1.2.9.1 stable? Which file do I patch? I'm guessing

T38 Passthrough Verification
Hi All,
I have 1.4.9.1 setup, with the compiler flags enabled for T38, and
have a Mediatrix 2102 and a Linksys SPA 8000-G1. I can pass faxes
between devices but can't seem to invoke T38 pt UDPTL. It's enabled
in sip.conf [general] and well as the [peer].
I get an error at the CLI:
